Wii releases for the week of March 24th
All kidding aside, it's quite the coincidence. But, hey, enough about the games starting with the same letter. Let's move on to the discussion regarding which title (or titles) you're going to pick up this week.

As soon as there's a few favourable reviews of Opoona out there (and Future Shop up here in Canada carries it), I'll pick it up. Until then, I'm happy with Brawl.

BOYCOTT FUTURE SHOP!
Also never buy an open box there, they don't check if it is working.
Go to best buy instead, better service and they're not paid to commission. (Same owner I think though...)

The *only* things I buy at Future Shop are games, and that's because they're shrink-wrapped (EB, more often than not, tends to sell "new" copies of games where the disk is behind the counter rather than in a shrink-wrapped case) and cost the same price as anywhere else. Higher priced stuff I get elsewhere (i.e. Amazon.com to my US mailbox). And yes, Best Buy and Future Shop are owned by the same company.

Game Informer slammed Opoona and made me not want it, just more Brawl for me this week. I think I'm done with buying wii games till Mario Kart.

I'll be getting Mario Kart Wii and Okami later. None of those games interest me.

I might buy Opoona if I can find some money.
So I'm not getting Opoona anytime soon.

do any of you guys know the exact release date of Octomania. I've wanted this since it was announced, but silly gamestop has no idea when it's coming out. WHERE to get this would also be helpful lol.
Thanks you guys

I bought my Octomania off of Amazon, but I don't know if that's the answer you're looking for.

Be aware that Octomania's new MSRP is $19.99. Don't pay $40 like it might still be marked at some stores!
Doesn't look like much for me now; I just wish I could curb my desire for the games out or coming out that I can't afford:
Mario Kart
Okami
Condemned 2 (360)
GTAIV (360)

Anybody know how the controls will work in the game? My 5yr old is beginning to take an interest in Wii and I'm always on the lookout for games she can play besides Bowling, that don't require the high degree of hand/eye coordination required by the nunchuck and all the button combinations. My wife also happens to have diminished use of one hand, so games that only use the Wiimote/A/B work well for her, too.

And by "the game" I meant Octomania, specifically. Oops.

Don't be decieved by the game's light and bright appearance. It's a puzzle game in the same views of Puyo Puyo Pop.
Remember Tetris? Really easy at first, then a couple minutes go by and it gets really hard. Picture that. This will be a simple game but also really difficult to master just like any puzzle game. For the later levels, it might be over her head.
as far as games she could play. check out some of the simple games like carnival games or mario party. Also, I'm sure a lot of those games that are made for her age group and demographic that we all would hate to play, like High School Musica, Dogz, Horsez....Beeverz (IGN ;) ) would be something she'd enjoy

Pick up Opoona! Support Wii RPGs! So we can get more of them from other companies!.... (though I'm not really sure if I'm going to pick it up myself... depends on the price... but I'm sure it will be good... maybe...)

Metacritic disagrees. I guess in some places 59% is a passing grade, but I never went to one of those schools. That's not to say it won't be fun, but I'm not sure supporting *crappy* RPGs is any better than not supporting them at all.
