First decent screens of Soul Eater

We're vaguely excited about Soul Eater, even though we aren't sure we should be. We aren't the biggest anime fans in the world, but the comments on the initial Soul Eater post suggest that there's good stuff to be found in this universe, and the concept of a school for weapon creation certainly holds promise.

But as high-quality as Square Enix's games usually are, and as interesting as this game concept sounds, we have to be wary of non-RPGs from the company. There are a lot more The Bouncers, Ehrgeizes, and King's Knights in Square's history than there are Einhänders. For that matter, the crowds of generic enemies suggest a possible Kingdom Hearts-alike, which seems like a good idea given the sale of Kingdom Hearts.

The Bouncer was awesome!
With it's nice wee story line and it's repetitive b ut fun fighting.

Used to play multipayer for hours.

Seen like the anime is showing and the way the manga works, a KH style game is pretty much what we'll get, and believe, i'm pretty sure it will be a pretty awesome one!!!!! great history and great characters

Bouncer was awesome! for a 20 minute game.

but still Awesome! since it was a release title =) I bought it with my ps2 because it said square.

It looks a bit bland and very child friendly...where's the blood? But as long as it plays well and gets a western release(unlikely) I'll grab it.

The Bouncer had one of the most addictive multiplayer modes in existence. My brothers and I used to play it before we found Mario Kart and Melee.
