"As you motion forward, backward, left and right with the nunchuk Amaterasu is supposed to dodge into the appropriate directions, but alas, she doesn't. Rather, she dodges very consistently into the wrong direction. We have rarely seen the nunchuk's accelerometer utilized well and Okami is no exception."

Though, to be honest, I haven't read the whole review. A friend emailed it to me and said "ctrl + f" controls.

The ign videow review mentioned this but said the dodge power is something you optionally buy in the game and isn't require to finish it. They then went on to rave about using the wiimote for the brush strokes...

I'm all over Okami this week. Goodbye, Smash Bros Brawl...you shall be removed from my Wii and not be reinserted until I beat Okami for a second time!

I'm impressed with your resolve. Brawl has utterly consumed me and although I plan to buy Okami now, I doubt I'll play it in a timely fashion (i.e. likely not this decade).
Gods help me if I had a 360 or PS3 as well.
