When they made the deal for Super Dodgeball Brawlers, Arc System Works apparently got the rights to Technos Japan's back catalog. Their name shows up as the publisher of all the Technos games available in Japan on the Virtual Console, including Nekketsu Kouha Kunio. Aksys Games has been the American publisher for every recent Arc game. That would seem to imply that Aksys could publish Technos's games on the American Virtual Console. The fact that it is actually happening strengthens our theory. The aforementioned Nekketsu Kouha Kunio, known over here as Renegade, has now been rated by the ESRB for U.S. release, published by Aksys, along with a Technos game that is more relevant to people who like good games: Double Dragon. Even more relevant: this opens the door for an American release of River City Ransom!

Well, there is some good news. I hope they don't take out the points bug in the second level of Double Dragon.

I can't tell you how much I loved Super Dodge Ball back in the day....I played that game so much growing up....whenever you had time to spare, it was the perfect filler....seriously, I had an unreasonable amount of love for that game and all it's anti-communism, iron curtain bashing glory.

Does anyone know whether this is the NES version of Double Dragon or the Master System version? I owned both in their original form and I can say without a doubt that I actually prefer the Master System version because of the two player co-op. The NES version did look and run a lot nicer, but it was pretty fun back in the day to play through this game with a friend simultaneously on SMS.

Sweet i just hope they push out a translated version of River City Ransom for the Super Nintendo, which was one of my favorite games but could never find an english translation for it. By the way has anyone been noticing that Nintendo isnt really pushing VC games that take up alot of space like the NEO GEO and N64 Games. Something tells me that Nintendo indeed those have a hard drive on the way.
