Used and Zapper-less: Link's Crossbow Savings
Even without any discount, the Link's Crossbow Training and Zapper bundle is already cheap at $20, but if you're looking for a way to pick up the pack-in game without being taxed for the extra plastic, Game Deal Daily has just what you need! The Woot-styled online shop is offering used, standalone copies of Link's Crossbow Training for only $4.95 (plus shipping and handling.)
Really, for a minigame collection with only an hour or two worth of content, that price sounds on target. Buy it now before the sale ends! You can finally find out what we were talking about when we said the game reminds us of your mother!

Although shipping is another $5 on top of that...

yea.. for that much, screw that. I'd rather just pay retail and find a buyer for the gun. Plus it doesn't seem to come with a nice plastic case, ... the paper ones scratch the disk.
Anywho, a much better deal on the site is that 10 dollar classic controller. then again with shipping that might not be worth it either.

I've been waiting for this; don't want the cheap plastic but want to try out the minigames. I'll have to find it in-store though, shipping kills this deal.

Yeah, I thought if you get a couple of things from them it might make the combined shipping worth it -- Link's + Classic Controller + PS3 memory card reader for less than 30 bucks shipped. That's not a bad deal, if you ask me.

Why doesn't Nintendo just put it up on Wiiware? my guess is a lot of people would buy this if it was around 500 points (I know I would!) but don't want/need the Zapper.

The Zapper is really a neat accessory. It is solidly made and works really well, turning shooting games into a whole new experience.
I would never consider playing Link's Crossbow Training without the Zapper.

The first time I tried Crossbow Training I used the Zapper, but it was way too uncomfortable. It's not even really shaped like a gun. It's just a weird plastic thing you stick your Wiimote in if you're having too much fun with a game and want to make it harder and more awkward.

I totally disagree. The Zapper is very shaped and formed very well. I think it is much more comfortable for FPS's, than playing with just the Wii remote.
