For an indeterminate period, Gamefly has marked the price of used copies of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams down to $22.99. If you were ever curious about trying out Sega's flying adventure, now seems like as good a time as any!Unlike the sticker-marred, printed-instructions-bundled nightmare of buying rentals from Blockbuster or a local video store (as someone who spent hours at a previous job cleaning rental sticker residue off of NES cartridges: thanks, local video stores) buying from Gamefly is surprisingly okay. You get the original case and instructions in perfect condition, since Gamefly files them away immediately upon receiving their copies, and the discs are guaranteed.

Every price drop I see for this game, the more disheartened I become.
Price drops like these belong to shovelware titles.
This is a good game. One of the best on the Wii. At some rare points, this game even tops the Saturn original. Why aren't people buying it?

Marketing...
The games that sell well on the Wii are first part titles, and cheap shovelware.
Since it is not made by Nintendo, their only hope is to sell it for cheaper.

I'm sorry... Nights just has to be one of the most annoying and overhyped games I ever played. when u actually get to the stages they are kinda fun but you go through so much bs dialogue and etc..... I rented this one for a weekend and after 3 day I was almost throwing it out of my window. So my advice - wait until it's $12.99

Don't forget Gamefly is accepting members used games for trade-in now so expect that "original case and instructions in perfect condition" to go the way of the dodo.

I don't know how many Canadians here that would be interested, but Nights is $20 at Futureshop and has been for almost two weeks now. And yes, that's in CAD.

I fail to see why the quality standards at gamefly would suffer because of their new trade-in program. It's obvious to anyone who uses them that they operate a cut above most on that end. I have never received anything but top notch quality games and packaging from them and they're not going to give you money for shoddy games. That doesn't benefit anyone. Them or you. I expect the quality standards to stay the same. Everything I've ever bought from gamefly has been in excellent condition.

Well, I think the idea is that customers' old games aren't going to be in as perfect condition as the ones that Gamefly kept themselves.

Well, yeah, I understand that perception. But you gotta figure that if what people have been buying from gamefly thus far has been in the rental pool then the difference can't be too extreme if there ends up being a difference at all. My point is that their quality control is pretty darn good. Certainly the best I've seen where used games are concerned. They do say that original packaging and manuals are required on all trade-ins too so one would hope the current standard would remain the same.
