I might get it... I don't mind wires, but my GC controller forces me to sit way too close to the tv. I just picked up a MadCatz wireless though, and it works pretty well, but I might get this one too since I prefer using first-party controllers and.... I want rumble back!

I still use my GC controllers. I never got a Wavebird because I was reluctant to give up on the strong rumble the GC Controllers have.

I have been trying to get a wavebird and can't find one. That's what I really want ... I wish Nintendo had gone ahead and recommissioned the Wavebird instead of this.

i have wavebirds, but if i didn't, i would consider buying this. you're certainly not gonna find a wavebird for less than this, and i imagine even a corded gamecube controller will cost about the same.

i would buy an n64 controller, though - the layout on those is (obviously) quite a bit different from gamecube, and i'd like to play loz:oot on the intended controller. and mario 64. and starfox 64. and sin and punishment.

I've got 3 wavebirds®. I used to have about the same number of corded controllers. But the analog sticks eventually went crappy on them all. While, for some reason, My wavebirds'® sticks never deteriorated. Yay, Wavebird®!

I know lots of people love the Wavebird, but I've had problems with them. The wireless range isn't as good as it could be, and there is no indication that the batteries are dying except that very slowly you'll start to notice lag in control, which can be frustrating.

I use standard Gamecube controllers with extension cords. Gamecube extension cords are easy to find on eBay cheap.

We have a selection of Wavebirds and GC controllers, and my brother, who uses the wired controller most often doesn't mind sitting on the floor to use it. I just got my personal wavebird back up and running, since someone spilled some sort of red liquid on it, jamming most of the buttons, especially the L and R.

I never had a Gamecube so I'll probably get one of these along with the Fire Emblem game that was on GC because I got the new one, but have it shelved until the summer. It'll be a Fire Emblem campaign along with Metroid Prime 3 and a ton of other stuff I picked up for cheap that is stuck due to Brawl consuming my life.

I'm kind of tempted to pick one up... I never managed to get a Wavebird, and they're in the $40 to $60 range on Ebay now. :(

I bought these cheap imitations of official GameCube controllers, and they're nice except that the stick is abnormally sensitive. >_< It would be nice to have a REAL one that works perfectly! Cord length isn't such an issue, because I picked up some of those handy extension cords. :) It DOES make for a lot of wires lying around though...

Got 3 wavebirds and I love them, how could you play Super Smash Bros Melee without mutliple wavebirds?

And I think the colored light changes color when the battery is about to go out, of course being color blind I never notice until the battery is dead...

Don't have a WaveBird. Crazy hard to find for a decent price.
Won't be picking this GC remake up either though.

I do love my wavebird, but I miss rumble, and my wired controllers are too short since I left my extension at a friend's house (and he apparently broke it). So I'll probably get one of these.

We've got one Wavebird and a GameStop-branded clone with an extension cord.

Actually, we've also got a real GC controller, too, but the puppy chewed through the cable. (Anybody got a dead controller with a good cable they want to get rid of? :-)

def getting one when time permits, as a true gamer, I hate wireless controls, wireless emits lag, and in the realm of gaming, the least bit of lag is unacceptable.

If anything, and even this cord is a lil short for my needs(which I doubt), those extension cords are easy finds on ebay...

Eh, I already have enough controllers, plus a 3rd party extension cord. I don't even use the cube controller for brawl, anyways. I just hang on to those controllers for VC and gamecube games and cuz my friends use em in brawl.

Do people with a Wavebird or official GC controller (this one or the old one, doesn't matter) have problems walking (as opposed to running) in Brawl? I got a Madcatz wireless controller for cheap from CC, and I like it quite a bit, except that I have a hard time just tilting the stick enough to walk, instead of having it treated as a "tap". I was wondering if the controller is too sensitive, or if the game doesn't use a big enough "dead zone". I guess I could try to find my old wired GC controller, but frankly I'm too lazy =-)

I switch among the controllers, though I do think Smash is more familiar on the GC controller. I don't think it's BEST on the Gamecube controller; the only reason I prefer it is because I already know the scheme, so I don't have to think about which button to press.

I will probably end up getting it. I got rid of my Cube a few years ago now, but I would love one of the controllers for the Wii. I think I'll pick it up.

I currently have 1 wavebird and a bunch of wired gamecube controllers that i dont use for the wii because the cord is too short. i have my wii sitting on top of the tv and its such a hassle to bring it down to use the GC controllers (cuz i need to juggle moving the wii sensor bar as well and everything). i would be happy to buy more wavebirds if ninty rereleased them! 1 is not enough!

the wavebird has no rumble. so i prefer the regular controller. i've got a couple gc controllers with weak buttons. so i'll probably pick up 1 or 2 white gc controllers.

and i actually think it looks really good.

I totally and completely do not need this controller. I have one Wavebird, two wired 'cube controllers, three Wiimotes, two 'chucks, a classic controller, a GH guitar, and an adapter that lets me use PS2 controllers with 'cube/VC titles.

But I want this one too! It makes no sense.

No doubt I'm picking one of these up when the time comes. It's super sexy in the new color and it's official. What more can one ask for? I'm the guy that always likes these things for my systems. When I bought my Nintendo 64 I only bought the gray controllers to complete the set. I just thought it looked better.

I might get one for SSBB (I never had a Game Cube), but have also been contemplating a Classic Controller. Can the GC controller play VC games and do everything the Classic Controller can?

I may have to pick one up, I left my good cube controller at a family members house 5 hours away, and my wave bird doesn't work properly, it almost never turns on in the neutral position, yet its not screwed up enough to not stay in it. I'm not sure if its the controller or the receiver. But I have to constantly turn my wave bird on and off to get the green light on the receiver to read nothing from the controller, but even then, when I push the joystick right, and let go. It'll have a delay between the time I let go, and the time it realizes that I let go.

Doesn't sound like a big deal, but it has effected me in Brawl. For example a lot of times when I roll right, when I should be facing left, I'm facing right again, and it has also caused difficulty in running.

I stocked up on GC controllers in the run-up to Wii, taking multiple controllers from friends who, sadly, never used their GC's

I really wish Wii games would stop supporting the GCN controller as an option and leave the GCN controllers to the GCN games.
