Wait, so there's a WiiWare Bomberman and another Disc game Bomberman, both for Wii?

I liked Bomberman until one time when I was playing I blew up a power up block and instead of a visceral "ka-boom" ringing through my speakers it was anti-semetic epithets.
I'm not playing any bigot games ... not after what happened with Marble Madness. I don't need that again.

I want to hear more details about the WiiWare version. That is the only version that I am interested in and may consider buying.
It seems like a strange decision to make two Bomberman games for Wii. I would think that they would cannibalize each others sales. Plus I would think that most people would go for the WiiWare version since multiplayer-mayhem is typically the main attraction for Bomberman games and the WiiWare version should more than suffice and for much cheaper.

The Wii already has a full fledged disc Bomberman game out for it (Bomberman Land), as well as at least 1 VC title (that I know of, there may be more other than Bomberman 93', I'm not sure and if there aren't any yet I'm sure there will be in the future), not to mention you can play at least 2 previous iterations from the Gamecube, and now another full fledged disc Bomberman title and a Wiiware title are on the way. We are less than 2 years into the life of the Wii and already that puts us up to 6 Bomberman games either out or on the horizon for Wii owners to choose from. I've always been a fan of Bomberman multiplayer but this is getting ridiculous. Did somebody say "over-saturation"?

Can you really get an oversaturation of Bomberman? I remember back in the day, they had like 3 come out on the SEGA Genesis and Super Nintendo at the same time... (either that, or EXTREMELY close together via date. Can't remember, I was really young)
I suppose what we're just looking for is the WiFi... which is already in one of them Bomberman DS games (I think)... but you know what's sad? I rarely see anyone with that game. :/

Whatever happened to the battle system from bomberman 64, I loved the way that was set up, the others are okay, but the 64 with super bombs and charging and gems and all that good stuff reigns supreme in my memory.
