Now that we've finally gotten River City Ransom, Nintendo has saw fit to take a lazy week and only provide us with one new Virtual Console game to download. At least it's a good one though, as Double Dragon on the NES owns. Likely, many of you recall it doing just that as a child.
So hit up the video above, then head past the break for more.

Double Dragon (NES, 1 - 2 players, 500 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!
The one thing to consider about this game is that it's also available on other consoles. It's been reissued as a downloadable title on both the Xbox 360 and PS3 (which means it has updated graphics and such), not to mention the plethora of ports it has received. Still, it's Double Dragon, which means it's solid. So if you like side-scrolling beat-em-ups, and have a friend on-hand to play with, then this one is going to be for you. And at 500 Wii Points, it won't break the bank, either.
That concludes our look at this week's Virtual Console games. As always, if you have any tips or rumors regarding Nintendo's Virtual Console service, be sure to let us know and come back next week when we take a look at the latest titles available on the Nintendo Wii!

UGH!
This was not supposed to be up this late. I actually recorded the video around 12:30pm ET. Dailymotion took the video, then sat on it (at 0%) in Encoding, for about 3-4 hours. So, suffice to say, Dailymotion is dead to me. Then I went to Vimeo and it took another long time to go live. Sorry about this!
If anyone has a better suggestion for a site to host our video content for the time being, please let me know!

Uh...I can only think of Youtube but if there is a review over 10 minutes, it may be less convenient with 2 parts.
Will you add me David, or do I gotta wait for Thursday? xP
(need your FC though)

Can't argue with Youtube for convenience and exposure, although the upper time limit might be an issue
I would recommend Stage6 (a DivX site), but they seem to have gone belly-up, the links there contained in my DivX software try to redirect me to Veoh
What format does the video camera natively record in?

Really, all i'm waiting for are Majora's Mask, EarthBound, and Shinobi
OK, also Bomberman '94 if they ever decide to port it, the quintessential Pre-Saturn Bomberman

I'd just get the cartridge too, I balked at how much i could've saved on F-Zero X if i had physically bought it, but i don't have an Expansion Pak, nor am i likely to get one

Hey David...
First off, it looks like your bowling alley is still around. Look here:

I have to say, I don't think I've been enjoying "VC Monday Madness" as much the last few weeks. Not since the switch from You Tube... not that I thought You Tube was so great. I actually look forward to these wrap ups on Mondays. Maybe it's because of the VC titles being released the last few weeks? Maybe it's the new video hosting site? Who knows?
BTW David, did you ever add my friend code?

Sorry to hear you're not digging it. I would like to think it's the VC releases (hey, they haven't been that great, save for, ahem, River City Ransom). But, if it's something I'm doing, let me know! I'm a big boy. :)

Nah, I don't think it's you!
You're always funny... although I do think you've been more subdued the last few times... But that's probably due to the video problems of the last few weeks.

Just out of curiosity, do you know if the XBLA version has online multiplayer? Also, is one or the other cheaper?
