Mario Kart- 9/10
The only reason why it doesnt get a perfect 10 is because Smash Bros Brawl spoiled the hell outta me (and probably most of you) with all of the different features that the game had. I dont think i'll ever grade a game the same again after playing brawl, but anyway:
I love Kart. No question. The wii wheel is addictive, the new karts and bikes are great, and I spent the better part of yesterday playing Kart. I just feel like something is missing, and I cant quite point it out. Perhaps they couldve added more Cups, which would have generated more tracks? Maybe more racers? More modes? The game just feels a bit empty to me...
nontheless, I love it and i'll be playing it for a long time.

While thrashing the Iron Monger in Iron man looks interesting, I'd have to give it up to MarioKart this week... and for the rest of '08-'10 muhahahahaha!

Why are you still promoting the Game Night in blog copy when the feature has ended?

Since when did the feature end, Tim? We get together every Thursday night and have been doing so for, oh I dunno, a year now?

Man, the game is sweet. I didn't try the online feature yet. Does the online feature work better than Brawl's?

I think they are. There are more steps (pick region or worldwide, collect players, select track), but it's a much smoother, faster process overall. And the games have been lag-free for me (though I've played just 5 or 6). Let's see what happens on a Friday night after a week or two.

Oh, its a glorious process, feels like what a 7th-gen online experience should between being able to contact friends in the Channel and then jump straight into a vs match on the Disc, being able to compare times against worldwide times right in the results screen, and especially the Invite system, which really makes the friend-code process as painless as possible, by taking a step towards a unified friend list

What genius decided it would be a good idea to release ANY game (no less a movie spin-off) the same time MK was coming out? It seems like a really good way to make sure that no one buys, or even notices your game.

One thing very positive about Mario Kart Wii - the online actually WORKS for me. The only thing I've been able to do in Brawl is spectate.

Mario Kart is great. The only criticism I have is that you can only save 4 licenses, we have 5 people in the family. Other than that it s a great game the entire family loves.

only thing i hate about it is no multiplayer grand prix , and the online two player feature sucks , since we can only use one profile and the other player is a guest

Much more excited about Iron Man than Mario Kart. I liked snaking, and the fact that I'm a tried-and-true metalhead will make me pick up (or at least rent) Iron Man for the PS2 (rumors say it's the only version with the song by Black Sabbath, not to mention it actually seems to be really solid).
