Finally, someone actually takes the time to show us some of the Wii's controls. We've been wondering about that, since those Xbox 360 and PS3 fanboys and fangirls have those fancy-schmancy graphics, the Wii has been left out in the cold, alone and hungry. Not anymore, as we all finally get a glimpse at the game running on Wii.
The beginning of the interview is filled with PS3/Xbox 360 gameplay, so you'll want to fast-forward to about the 2 minute mark, where it starts to get good.

As interesting as those controls look, I'm still pulled to the PS3 version because they've already hinted at episodic DLC, also, games that rely so heavily on the atmosphere probably fare better with higher end graphics

Man, I know I may sound kinda demanding, but can you post up a small little synopsis of the controls or something, a few of us here aren't getting anything from the video, it just stops at random moments...

If you possibly pause the player for a couple min while it loads it might work...
Some things shown in the movie are:
- tap your chest with the wii mote or nun-chuk to view your inventory on either side of your coat.
- use the wii mote aim your weapon.
- swing the wii mote left to swing your melee meapon left, swing wii mote right to swing your melee weapon right, swing up and down to smash with your melee weapon.
- use the wii mote and nun-chuck to combine items together. like lighters and areosole cans.

The video worked fine for me. My impressions.. some nice nifty stuff done with the controls, especially the car interactions. However I speculate how much "nifty" action like that we will encounter since this is mainly looks like a "walking" adventure game. Umm, the basic controls I think are what we've come to expect so I can't say I'm blown away. I think I'm just curious on how this game chooses to perform, I hope it's not a stagnant adventure game with cool elements of fire. I want an semi in-depth story, great suspense and times where I don't even want to walk into the room. Pretty much I want this to raise the bar from RE4 but in a more serious manner. Of course I can't ask it to compare to what has been done on RE5 *sigh* (secretly counts down the days until he buys a ps3) . Anyways, looks great and good to see more dev taking time to focus on the Wii!

i dunno, i mean this makes me think of a James Bond sort of control scheme, looks like everything is pulled out of a jacket pocket. makes me wish there was a Batman sandbox game with re4 style combat, there could be evidence collecting and a bat computer mini game back at Wayne Manor. It would be epic.

Just noticed that, smashing is a little lagging, like, player smashes..... character smashed, maybe its because it's using something that seems to be pretty heavy, and its faster with lighter things, but, if its like this, mmmmm, gotta have a good timing

This game reminds me of RE4 in more ways than one, but not in the most important way: controls. RE4, No More Heroes, and Twilight Princess showed us that action games should be made with few motion controls. NMH only used the motions for the finishing moves and it worked great. RE4 had you shake the wiimote to slash and to reload, but what the shaking resulted in wasn't determined by direction of the shaking, but whether or not the "B" Button was held in and that game had better controls than the original. Meanwhile, TP had you shaking in all sorts of crazy directions to do various sword strikes, and it seldom worked for me on the first try. As you see, multiple motions don't really have that good of a track record so far. This might change that, but I'm not holding my breath...

4 ppl who can;t watch the vid and non french speakers:
1-tap wiimote to your chest as if you were pullling something out of your jacket(player takes out gun fro jacket in same motion)
2-tap nunchuck to chest again as if pulling something out of jacket( player takes out flashlight)
[same 2 put both away]
3- aim gun and torch like normal fps' on wii
4-pull wiimote n nunchuck apart as if opening jacket(to check inventory player does the same)
5-same motion for any objects from inventory such as spray and lighter ( move wii n nunchuck to connect them)
6-after picking up an object such as a trash can(can be used to beat people up and break doors open), swing wiimote in the direction you want the player to swing (left right up )
7-wiimote really sensitive [this meaning tiltiling the remote in anyway also tilts the gun like redsteel )[also tilt to right to check # of bullets on gun]
+player goes around a corner and shoots monster and later picks up chair to swing at monster (see 6) he then opens up inventory (see 4) and uses a lighter and can to burn monster+
8-cars are completely interactive and if the key is not in the ignition you twist the remote and nuchuck and connect them in a hotwiring motion. {gta 4 wii anyone?}
9- to drive the car you hold the wii and nunchuck like a wheel ind turn in a wheel-like motion (just like in cod 3)
