Is there a game that could benefit from the Wii treatment? Is it just something that would make good use of the Wii's motion-based controls, or a game that could really use the new audience?

Nights is good.
What's your complaint about the game?

Sonic Team could have spent a lot more time working on the display for it, the game looked like it still could have been on Saturn a lot of the time. Yes, I know graphics aren't everything and it's about gameplay (which I didn't play the first nights, but this didn't seem anything like it from the videos I had watched). In a game where it's supposed to be a beautiful utopian [/nightopian?] dreamscape, I was kind of hoping for some sort of effort to not have the main character made of 15 jagged polygons. While there are places where the game is nice looking, it could be so much prettier on the whole.
Also, the first nights seemed like it was about racing and score and such, this new one feels like I'm playing a minigame collection.

"the main character made of 15 jagged polygons"
Exaggeration much?
I look at it this way: Sonic Team were in a no win situation. They could never top the Saturn version as the nostalgia some people hold for the original is too strong. It's clearly effecting some people's judgement.
And Waffala, I really advise you to borrow someone's Saturn and play the original Nights. The Wii version looks ten times better, trust me - though that's not to say the original is not a beautiful game.
I mean, this game is clearly as good as Galaxy, if not better. If this game was called "Nights and Mario" many people would have overlooked the slight problems. I'm sure of that.

Noooo way. NiGHTS 2 is enjoyable enough, but it's no where NEAR the level of Galaxy. They got the flying part right, but the gameplay needed more evolution in the end.
I can still go back and enjoy the original NiGHTS (as much as one can with a regular Saturn controller, at least), but JoD just feels...off even though it's so similar.

I'd like to see all four Panzer Dragoon games given the Wiimote treatment. I imagine the control scheme would be really simple: IR pointer + A to shoot, D-Pad to perform the 90 degree turns, and flick the Wiimote up to slow down/speed up. I don't think any additional buttons are needed. Do it Sega.
Plus, a Virtua Cop collection would be cool. And Fighters Megamix - though I wouldn't like to play that game with the Wiimote.

Yes, Yes and yes! I have been ranting about this on message boards for quite some time now. I'd settle for a Panzer Dragoon Orta port from Xbox1, but a new sequel would be even better. Or even a remake compilation. Hell, if Sega can bring back the lesser known (and much less enjoyable) Nights, then why not the always flawless Panzer Dragoon series? Seriously, Panzer Dragoon Orta was arguably the greatest shooter of all time and one of the best games ever released on the Xbox1. These games would be even better (I mean god-like) with IR control. Sega, make Panzer Dragoon Wii now, damnit! I command thee!

For painting on the Wii, get a Photo on the Photo Channel, cover it in white paint. Then post it to the Wii Message board...there is a free Wii pointer canvas!

They need to make a Time Crisis game using the wiimote as the gun and the Wii-Balance board as the step you use to unhide and shoot. Yes I Know i'm epic..

That's one option, but a more affordable and more realistic would be "Wiimote pointing to screen - ACTION, Wiimote pointing out of screen - HIDE". Just like you reload on HOTD 2&3

I think they should package upgraded versions of all of the light gun Nintendo games for the NES, and all of the Super Scope SNES games into a Nintendo Classic Wii collection.

RE4: Wii Edition is an upgraded GameCube title with the PS2 (which was a downgraded GC port) extras slapped in for good measure.

Is it just me who thinks last gen games ported over with motion controls is pointless? I mean I personally don't think it brings too much to the game, you can play the Gamecube RE4 on your Wii, are the waggle controls really worth the extra money? I reckon seeing something from the NES and SNES days remade would be more worth it. I'd love to see Double Dragon remade for this generation. But thats just me

I was all with you thinking, bah humbug shamelss cash in and borrowed my friends RE4 determined to hate it but its amazing, tried to go back to gamecube version and I find it nigh on impossible to aim with a control stick now

I agree. The only thing I like about ports is it's kind of a second chance to play games that I missed (like Okami). Even though I could pick it up on PS2 it's nice to play it on the Wii.

It's been said before, but it's worth saying again.
Killer 7 would be far more fun on the Wii. Light Gun shooters just work better with the pointer controls.
I'd also be up for all the old first part GCN classics getting the Wii treatment. The aiming in Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, and especial Metroid Prime 1 & 2 would do well to be Wii-ified.
But Resident Evil 0? Ugh. That makes no sense.

Katamari Damacy...rolling with a tilt? Genius!
I would also like to see a Burnout game...think of the carnage you could inflict by guiding your car with waggle...you could even play the 'hand of god' and so a two fisted slam into the tanker trucks.

I already mentioned this before, but the Wii really DOES need a Time Crisis or Virtual Cop Anthology.
My prayers for Samba de Amigo for the Wii, were answered.
Let's see what else.....oh a collection of all the Wooly Willy games/boards on one disc, that would be amazing!!!

New games. I want NEW games.
Though I am enjoying Okami.
And I'd probably rebuy, like, all of the 3D Zeldas with motion controls because they're not as fun after playing Twilight Princess.
But yeah. I'd rather not see ports of games from last generation. They're all still readily available at every video game store in the world. Come back in a few more generations.

I've got a couple. ToeJam & Earl III was an enjoyable game, and it had a rather limited release on the original Xbox only. It'd be nice to get it to a wider audience on the Wii, plus the "funk-fu" controls could stand a little waggle.
Rez, from the Dreamcast, PS2, and now XBLA, is a PERFECT fit for the Wiimote ... why we haven't seen it already, I don't know. Bring it on.

And some more modern day adventures, like Syberia.

Please dear god don't let Square remake Final Fantasy X-2. It was so bad! But I wouldnt like to see X remade on Wii, I don't think motion controls would suit it at all. If anything remake it on PS3 with nicer graphics but theres still no point in that because its only last generation
