By far the most enjoyable thing about Mario Kart Wii (and we're not saying Mario Kart is bad) is the psychotic "Cowboy Jed" advertising campaign, in which a hyperkinetic salesman attempts to sell us karts, while impressing upon us the importance of looking at the footage. Look at the footage!
The footage has just gotten a lot cooler with the discovery of a ton of previously-unseen Jed clips. They're available on archive.org under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial license, meaning you're free to remix and share the all-important footage as long as you're not making money off of it.
If you just want to, you know, look at the footage, the "Cowboy Jed Song" link features a footagey music video (as seen above), and the "Cowboy Jed Montages" link features montages of the remixable material for viewing. Look at the cow! Look at the footage.

XD! LMAO!
That's so funny!
"Only a poet could describe how beautiful all this footage truly is!" is the best part.
Though you know the commercial people & 'Cowboy Jed' were just bored and screwing around. :P

Lol. I love these Mario Kart commercials. Some of the best commercials from Nintendo in years. This one was great.
I would love to see Nintendo get creative like this for other games in the future.

Now that you said that, it reminds me of the commercial for SSB on the N64.
Different and hilarious so it catches your eye. The "Wii would like to play" commercials are so boring & simple.

Definitely. That SSB N64 commercial was one of the best (if not the best Nintendo commercial). I really love when Nintendo gets creative and does something different and memorable.

This idea was facepalm-worthy at first, but it's kinda grown on me, since they're using this commercial on channels where i've never seen Wii commercials, like Spike TV and the History Channel

Also, was anyone else reminded of the Michael Keaton character Beetlejuice from watching this guy?
Sounds an awful lot alike

My first experience with Cowboy Jed was at frickin'-early-o'clock as I'm filling up my car with gas at a Shell station. I guess now some have commercials at the pump? The only thing that's advertising is for me to go to a new gas station.
To redeem themselves, they should instead develop and use "Cowboy Jedi".

I have seen the footage, and now I shall see it repeatedly. Said footage has evoked a generous belly laugh.
