Guitar Hero World Tour has DLC, or it doesn't
We've got new screens in our gallery which obviously aren't from the Wii version of the game, but which show off new features like character creation, guitar customization, and the awesome music-recording function that we have no idea if we'll get. Maybe the Wii drum kit will make extra noise when you hit it.

I'll get this instead of Rock Band....no DLC? Ahh...it doesn't matter at this point.
If the GH3 guitars are NOT compatible or if the media is in Mono sound, that'll be just another punch in the gut.

Yeah Harmonix can suck it. They should have just admitted they were wrong and put out the best version they could for the Wii. Even if GH4 had no more features than RB I would still prefer it since Activision didn't have to release Wii GH3 6 months later than the other consoles because they had a shred of foresight.

I've decided to get this over Rockband to just because Harmonix pissed me off with the gimped version were getting. Hopefully activision won't screw us out of character customization and band tour mode as well. I'm also very excited about the all master track list they claim to have and so far the bands are exciting, and I can't wait for the full list. I like the look of the drums and can't wait to see the new guitars. Don't disappoint activision

Guys, what you are forgetting is that Xbox 360 does terribly in Japan. This is worldwide sales. PS3 is now really starting to catch on in Japan and as the price comes down, it will do the same here. I think Xbox 360 has peaked. PS3 will hit it's sweet spot next year and really start taking off.
PS3 might be the eventually winner, but I also think the Wii 2 will be out before 2012.

One advantage of the GH franchise being owned by Activision is that they have money to hire more developers...just take a look at the opening credits to GH3. Vicarious Visions ftw, I say...remember THPS2 on GBA and how surprisingly good it was? Not to mention that some of the DS counterparts of Tony Hawk have been better than the console versions. They have a history of pushing consoles to their limits, something few third party developers are really doing on the Wii. I'm trusting them with this game and I think they'll deliver. Harmonix has seven extra months to develop Rock Band for Wii, and they can't deliver more than a PS2 port. If you're a Wii owner, GH is the franchise to go with. On 360/PS3, RB might be the better game, but on Wii, GH4 is going to blow RB away.

As much as I have already expressed my discontent with all the extra instruments in GH4, I will be buying this over Rock Band ANY DAY! The Rock Band instruments are very breakable, So far it seems the GH ones will be alot more sturdy!

The best news here for Wii owners is the Wii and PS2 versions are done by two different developers. So Vicarious can really focus on creating the best Wii version they can.
