Yes, I am on board.. picked it up yesterday. I can say to everyone that has a "gaming" body like me, Be prepared to sweat. Wii fit will work you out! If you are already in shape, I think that you could still benefit. On a side note, my kids thought it was real funny to see Dad's belly hang out while doing the half moon......

I got it yesterday and used it enough to get 1:10 worth of credits. This morning, my legs and calves are killing me. I guess it's doing something!

Yep, got mine yesterday and have used it for two sessions already. It made me break a sweat, but sometimes just getting up for more chips and ice cream does that, so who knows?

My memory may just be playing tricks on me, but didn't Miyamoto say that Wii fit wasn't an exercise, or weight loss machine, but just a game? if so, would you guys think of it as fun?

Yes, it's fun.
If you have no interest in wii fit then why do you keep reading and posting in these threads?

We picked it up yesterday. Got our Miis plumped up, and got to it. The Hula is definitely good, and so are the lunges. I could really see this being a fun way to add some fitness. Between this and Singstar for the PS3 we are having way too much fun!

If you end up being so fit that you don't need a couch to sit on (like the guy in the main pic), then I'll seriously consider it...

It's all part of Nintendo's plan, the less furniture in the room the more insane waggling you can have.

I picked up a copy Weds morning, mainly to play We Ski. I have to say, as an actual skier, the game is completely unlike actually skiing. I guess it's analogous to Guitar Hero to a seasoned guitar player. I don't feel so bad since I've made this comparison.
WiiFit on the other hand, seems pretty cool, and I did work up a sweat. Legit workout tool, the only problem is they don't include some "motivation to work-out" pills in the box. Same problem as any work-out scheme, except you can avoid working-out from the comfort of your living room, no need to go to the gym :-)

Oh yea, and the BMI is complete BS. I'm fairly athletic (muscular) with a few extra pounds on top. The BMI calculator put me right on the line between overweight and obese.

Got one yesterday as well. I can't say that I "worked up a sweat" on anything (I'm not in stereotypical gamer shape), but I will say that it is harder than I expected. The board is a lot more sensative than expected and it is very easy to "oversteer".

I have it, but I'm not too happy about it. Apparently my feet are too big for the board. But my feet aren't abnormally large (11.5); about half an inch hangs off the board making it a bit uncomfortable. :(

How do your feet hang off if you're an 11.5? I'm a 13 and my toes are right on the edge off falling off. Try positioning your heels towards the back so your toes don't hang off.

Got it yesterday, did a bit over a half hour of training, and so far really enjoy it. The balance games are tougher than I thought, strength training didn't get into much but at least looks interesting, and yoga once again showed me I'm not at all flexible :P Overall I'm happy to have picked it up, and I'll hope it gets me actually getting in at least a little better shape, even if just more flexible.

My wife was really into getting it, I wasn't.
After using it one night, I liked the stretching exercises as I don't do that enough, but my feet are too large at size 14 for the board. Very uncomfortable.

It's great. Got to use mine for 1:08 last night before having to dash off to see Indiana Jones.
* The hula hoops rock. Getting 300+ in the initial hula hoop game can cause some sweating. Super hula hoop is even better.
* I suck at ski salmon but do great at ski jump
* I'm very slow with the first two tightrop walking levels, although I can finish them.
* I have limited space in my apt, so some of the activities (like some strength ones) are a little annoying to do since I have to set it up so I'm perpendicular to the tv screen instead of facing it.
* It claims I'm about 6% fatter than what my very old bathroom scale says.

I think it looks pretty cool, and I might pick it up and some point. The only thing I don't like is the price tag. A bit high for me. It's like they're charging the full 50 bucks for Wii fit and tacking on 30 or whatever for the balance board, a little high in my opinion, especially since I'm still saving my pennies for another Guitar Hero controller....
But I think it looks pretty cool, and the balance board seems to be a pretty cool idea. I still might pick it up at some point.

They are promises of other games for the balance board to come out. So yes you are buying the wii fit game along with "basically" another controller. Hence the $89 price tag.
Got mine yesterday and played it for about 00:35 minutes. Some of the exercises and balancing are way too easy. Although the skiing is really tough. I get going way too fast and can't seem to get those last few flags at the bottom. I do wear a size 13 shoe so it can be difficult, but i do manage. Overall I believe this isn't a work out tool. It can get you to sweat a little but it is so much easier to get a better workout when going outside and doing the things you do on WiiFit. Like running/joggin' with friends. Can't wait to get back home after work and watch my g/f do this..:D

I was fully ready to do everything in my power to talk my girlfriend out of getting WiiFit. Then the Skate IT announcement came. Grind rail balance where you actually balance on a board to keep your skater from falling? Full manual balance control? Have I just been transported to some sort of magical future? Here's to hoping for more interesting games including this thing, as right now I'm buying it solely for Skate IT, meaning I'll be out $140 to play one skateboarding game. Oh and so my girl will be able to do 15 yoga poses and play minigames until she gets sick of them in a couple days on WiiFit.

Picked it up yesterday. 4 year old daughter really likes jogging of all things - likes chasing the puppy around. Took me a long time to figure out what to do in ski jumping - still not sure I have it down. Wii Fit does not work great - but not terrible - with a group of people.

I picked it up first day at Midnight. I've never lined up for the launch of a game before, but my girlfriend would not have been impressed if we hadn't been able to get our hands on a copy of it. We're both really happy with it though. (Except I can't understand why you can't use your own Mii's in the 2P run...).

I picked it up yesterday morning and promptly worked up 1:50 in Wii Fit credits (took about 3 realtime hours).
I'm very impressed with it and find the balance games, strength exercises, and aerobic exercises to be quite enjoyable. The yoga's a little different, but heck, I'll give it a try for a while.

After getting out of work my day consists of laying on the couch watching TV ... for the most part
We played Wii Fit last night and it was tough! I'm not extremely overweight, but now I know just how out of shape I am. The games and exercises are both alot of fun! I can't wait to get home and "play" it some more.

Got it midnight on launch day, and it's been keeping me up way past when I should be going to sleep since.
My only problem is, you look like even more of a tool than when you're playing WiiSports.

God no. Horrible waste of money, IMO. I'd rather keep working out in a real gym and spending my money on real games.
I appreciate this game's style and goals - after all, I still play Wii Sports all the time - but a fitness video game is just not for me.

As a huge, life-long Nintendo fan my thoughts on Wii Fit are: boring, mundane, bland, opportunistic, manipulative, cynical, lowest-common-denominator, casual, lifestyle mediocrity.
I'm losing faith.
If you go on YouTube and type in 'Wii Fit Parody', that video pretty much sums up my feelings.

My girlfriend's boss offered to pick it up for us yesterday morning at 6:30, so we agreed to that. I got to play it last night, it is very innovative can be fun too, it also reminds me why I hate to exercise, but maybe this will help me get motivated to get in to good physical condition. I liked the balance game where you have to tilt the level to get the ball in the hole, reminds me of super monkey ball except better. Can't wait to play some other games that utilize the balance board. Also when will Johnny Wii (I mean Lee) hook the balance board up to a computer and do something crazy with it?
