Now, before you start getting your hopes up, close your eyes and take a deep breath. Once done, then give a click on one of the images below. Those graphics are pretty darn sweet, eh? Well, we're not saying the Wii isn't capable of such graphics, just that the likelihood of this being an Xbox 360 and PS3 reveal is high. We're not going to rule out the game arriving on Wii, though. The first title was multi-platform (this blogger has the GameCube port of the first title), so let's hope Ubisoft puts the second game out on all systems.
After checking out the screens, head past the break for a video.

I'm going to cross my fingers and hope this isn't exclusive to X360 and PS3, but time will tell.

Hope is dead.
"Firstly, the interview wasn't just with Michel Ancel, it was with Yoshitaka Amano (Final Fantasy artist) and French comic artist Enki Bilal, which is pretty cool! Secondly, Ancel says the game - if it's ever approved by Ubisoft, that is - will be for the PS3 and 360."

PLEASE BE ON PS3! Well, and Wii, but I want those graphics for myself.. I'd buy either version though, so I've got two out of three chances here to get this! If it's 360-exclusive, I guess I'll have to "rent" one from WalMart. Haha.

Haven't played the original game yet (it's waiting until I have some free time this summer) but this is still good news... unfortunately, I think the odds of seeing this game on Wii are extremely low.
Oh well, we've got plenty of other good games to enjoy and BG&E looks more like a traditional "gamer's game" anyway if you ask me.

But isn't "traditional gamer's games" exactly what we want/need on the Wii?

It's really not. It's an adventure game, but it's not anything so hardcore. The story and characters are what made me love the original, and generally I'm never interested in the story of a game, just the gameplay. You REALLY need to try Beyond Good and Evil, it was absolutely amazing. I don't say that about most games, but this was something special.

Yes and no.
I'd love to see some well-made adventure games on Wii, but would much rather have them designed specifically for the system (that takes advantage of the unique Wii controls and features) than to see a typical adventure game watered down and ported over from the other current-gen systems.
Also, I'm enjoying short, "casual" games more and more as time goes on. For example, I personally don't care about the upcoming Metal Gear Solid PS3 game... it's beautiful, but just looks too big and bloated for me to want to sit down and play. Different strokes for different folks, right?
That said, this opinion might change after I actually try playing the first BG&E game later this summer.

If you read the full interview of Michael Ancel by French magazine JeuxVideo, he speaks of BG&E2 being in pre-production and he hints at a game for the 360/PS3...nothing about the Wii. I know, my heart was broken too.

IT'S GLORIOUS!!!
I wish I wasn't at work so I could see the video. I'll have to settle for gazing at Pey'j's handsome mug for the rest of the afternoon. I'm guessing that is Jade crouching in the background.
Although these screenshots definitely look like 360/PS3-caliber graphics, here's hoping the game is multi-platform like the first one. I'll probably have a PS3 and/or Xbox 360 by the time it comes out, but given the controls of the first game, the new one would be sweet utilizing the Wiimote.

I don't think it could be bought enough. I still can't believe there are people that have yet to.
Damn slackers.

I agree. :(
I bought it for GameCube and Xbox. They should pack it onto the PS3 version as an unlockable too - Blu-ray has more than enough room for it.

I'm not buying a remake of the original. It was a good game, but...not one I can see myself rebuying unless maybe it was no more than $24.99.
...and since this is Ubisoft, where stupid decisions seem to be the norm, if they WERE to put out a Wiimake, you just know it would be full retail price.

It won't be on the Wii. A game like BG&E2 makes too much sense to put on the Wii and therefore, Ubisoft would never let it happen.
But hey! It's all good! We're getting the 3rd Rabbids game in 3 years! WOO HOO! SHOVEL THOSE WARES, UBISOFT! I just LOVE eating shit!

Well if this isn't on the Wii (which it really looks like it won't be) I guess I will have to finally suck it up and get a 360. I can't miss this game!

On a less important note... it seems like this ad is copying the TF2 method of meeting the characters. I'm betting the next ad will be "The Girl," or maybe they'll reveal Double H.
