Now officially listed on Nintendo Japan's official site, we can celebrate the unveiling of the latest game featuring pseudo-evil badass Wario. The kanji is translated into English as simply Wario Land Shake, which is a natural connection to the whole motion-sensing thing the Wii's got going on.Now, despite the fact that Wario has been featured in a pile of different games in recent years, the inclusion of Land in the title brings hope to the possibility that this will be a full-fledged platformer that follows on from Wario Land 4 which was released way back in 2001. No longer is our portly friend relegated to hosting mini-game compilations and riding go-karts; he's in the spotlight and heading for the store shelves of Japan on July 24. Stay tuned for more details!

Hmm...interesting.
I was hoping for a WarioWare Balance Board title though...
But this title sounds interesting. I can't wait to hear more details (I'm guessing at E3).

Cool. I hope it's something like Wario World on the GC. Which I loved. I know a lot of people thought it was too short, but I think it was the perfect length for what it was.
The "shake" in the title is worrying though as it indicates mini-game collection/gimmicky controls, so I'll hold off the excitement for the time being.

Will Waluigi ever have his own game? I had this arguement during a 4.5 hour session of Mario Bros. and a case of killians with a buddy of mine the other night. I argued that Waluigi wasn't a real character.
And I stand by that.
I also like Ben Kweller. I hadn't heard that song in a long time.
It just came on my iPod.
God bless you, iPod. God Bless you.

Why isn't Waluigi a real character? I see him, I've played as him in games. I think he's pretty real.
Now of course, I doubt he'll be getting his own game, but he is without a doubt a real character.

No, he's not. He's a tacked on thing they needed for sports games.

Waluigi was created by Camelot for Mario Tennis for the GBC. So actually he's not even an official Nintendo character.

Fact: Waluigi is not only real, but he's one of the best characters in a game ever.

Well, Waluigi isn't a nintendo character, he isn't used in any major games, and he is only really known by minigame fanboys. I doubt that he will ever be a main character (much like luigi, although nintendo did give him a break with luigi's mansion and the like), but it would be interesting to see how people would react if he was an unlockable character in a wario game, like luigi in super mario galaxy. It could work, it could fail - i don't know. Plus, nintendo would have to pay royalties to camelot, seeing as they don't technially own him, which is probs another major reason as to why he is not in any major game.
Overall, I agree with your comment. Unless he features in a major game, I will not accept him as a proper character. Doesn't mean I don't think the concept of waluigi is a bad idea, though.

Wario Land? Wario Land!
I have not been brought such joy since Fire Emblem DS was dated, or since Fatal Frame IV was equally dated
Oh, wait. That was all today

Finally! Someone else who likes the sugar woman! She's my fave villain of the wario franchise. I would say that she's my fave villian in the mario franchise, but that would have to be dimentio from paper mario. He's one psycho bitch!
Anyway, the sugar woman will be in it. IGN released some info about it yesterday.

I played the original Wario Land on the GB and Wario Land 4 on the GBA. Both great games IMO, I was sad when they stopped, but maybe this will be a rebirth for the series.
I would be happy if they made a New Wario Land similar to NSMB.

Oh, and my theory is you tilt the Wii remote to move that direction or something! Maybe shake for attacks, shake horizontal for tackle, up and down for butt stomp? Rotate for some screw attack, or maybe a tornado. Jab for something else?

WAIT, it says you enter a pipe...
Maybe, you have to spin around the world? Rotate the remote to move a direction, as I said, but the WORLD spins, not you!
