We've got the goods on the Nintendo Channel. We're experts. With all the killer stuff available online elsewhere around the world, Nintendo also falls into the "expert" category for having the good sense to launch the service in Australia and Europe. Why, it's not even very late!
PAL gamers can now catch up on a bunch of videos and interviews they have been eagerly waiting for, including the highly-anticipated DS demo download service, which should prove to be a hit for those tech-savvy kids and grandmas. It's a free download, so make sure to get connected and updated for the release on May 30. Like, tomorrow. Cancel all those dates, fellas!
Crikey, this is a new Channel this is!

Is it just me, or does the Nintendo Channel effectively demonstrate how easy and reliable some kind of on-demand video service could be on the Wii? Imagine if studios like NBC or Fox that already distribute their shows for free with ads via Hulu.com, or Comedy Central that makes Colbert and the Daily Show available with ads, launched a Wii channel in collaboration with Nintendo. This seems incredibly intuitive to me. Anyone else think this is a good idea?

good point...
I would love that. Unfortunately, I don't think it's the type of thing Nintendo would do. Let's face it, they make great games and have intuitive ideas, but sometimes they just are afraid to go the extra mile.

Bringing a video on demand service to a console is a different issue. Delivery isn't the hard part, it's all the red-tape involved. Everyone wants their fair share and at the same time are paranoid that it'll somehow be easier for people to steal their content.
This channel just makes me think "why aren't I just watching this on youtube instead of taking up precious Wiispace with this Wiitube channel?" I mean, the Opera browser is right there anyways... and it's a far more useful channel.

Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours,
Just a friendly wave each morning, helps to make a better day.
Neighbours, need to get to know each other, next day is only a footstep away.
Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours,
With a little understanding, you can find a perfect plan.
Neighbours, should be there for one another.
That's when good neighbours become good friends.
Neighbours, need to get to know each other, next door is only a foot step away.
Neighbours, every body needs good neighbours,
With a little understanding, you can find the perfect plan.
Neighbours, should be there for one another,
That's when good neighbours become good friends.

Has anyone noticed that the Nintendo Channel is 122 blocks of memory, and that the save is 126!!! Thats a huge amount of space for the channel!! Does everyone have this problem, or is it just because I have tried so many games and VC downloads??

Don't you mean the Wii Advertising Channel?
I used it like...once or twice. Kind of pointless IMO.

Crikey! Nintendo Channel sure is the bees knees! Sure puts the digerydoo in the knockers.
Seriously though, its cool, but takes up too much space. Deleted it and got Star Soldier R.

interested in the DS demos and just to see in general what it is, but i had a hard enough time making room for MLAAK and Lost Winds that i now only have about 3 blocks free.
there is no way i'm getting rid of those two or my zeldas. i guess it's time to go, mario64.
