We were talking about Capcom and the Japan-exclusive Wii port of Resident Evil Zero yesterday, so we figured the question is valid. Sure, we all would like to see Capcom's newest entry in the series, Resident Evil 5, ported to the Wii, but what about this GameCube remake?Do you want the game localized to your region? Big Resident Evil fan? We are, so we're usually quick to pick up a title even if it just has a new coat of paint on it. What say you all?

Is there any changes to it? Does it use the wii mote in some nifty way like in RE4? Does it make it easier to aim at their heads?
If yes, then yes.
If not, no, not really, i already have it on gamecube

It all depends on whether or not it was retooled to use either a FPS or OTS view.

It wont be either, seeing as how all the background are prerendered.. They're probibly going to turn it into some sort of point and click adventure.. or have it control like mario galaxy

Honestly, I'm not all that interested in it, but if it were available, I'd probably pick it up. I played through "Umbrella Chronicles" and, while that game certainly is no substitute for the _real_ game, the story just didn't seem all that appealing.
Personally, I'd rather see a port of the Gamecube version of "Resident Evil" than "Resident Evil Zero"...

I would be interested in the new Wiimote controls. It would have to be under $30 though. I wouldn't want to pay $50 for it.

I heard that they were going to make this point and click like Zack and Wiki, which would be awful.
If the game were remade to play like RE4, then great. But if it's just the GC version again but point and click, then please keep this away from me.

That picture is ironic and amusing considering Billy is the one handcuffed in the game.

If it's remade on the RE4 engine with Wii controls: absolutly.
A GCN port with Wii control mapping: no.

nope, already own it for GC, and it's not a complete overhaul like RE4 was... seems kinda pointless...

Really they should quit playing with our emotions. Every original RE game should be redone in the RE4 engine, or at least as best as can be done in it. ( I can't see CV's dual wielding being done right any way you cut it.)maybe release them as a $100 box-set people would buy them, people may even be willing to buy Wiis (what is a plural for a Wii, is it just Wii?) JUST to play those games.

Not really, I already have it for GCN and since they aren't doing anything new with it it's not worth Capcom's time to localize it.

Since I never bought it for gamecube and RE4 Wii was my first Resident Evil game, I really wanted to see this one ported.
