It's not all downgrades for the Wii's World at War. Senior producer Noah Heller is confident in its capabilities, claiming "It's going to look better than any Wii game I've ever seen on the market." Also, despite the online and co-op changes, developer Treyarch says "For all intents and purposes it's the same game." Top stuff, because Call of Duty 3 wasn't entirely up to scratch.
Hit that big play button up there to check out the debut trailer for World at War. Officially it's footage from the 360 and PS3 version, but since it's "the same game," the Wii shouldn't miss out on too many of the heart-beating battles in the above video.

I have some high hopes for this... I do very much enjoy Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, but I'd like some more maps/weapons/game types/etc. to mess around with. It was a good first step in the right direction, but another game to really bring it home would be appreciated.

Ughh...
The one reason why I appreciated COD4 as much as I did (I despise recycled FPS's) was that it was different from the rest of the Call Of Duty franchise. It was modern with (for the most part) smooth weapon design and control. Most of all, it was a step FORWARD.
Now they're gunna take many steps BACK? If the rumor is true about COD6 being futuristic warfare, then they should make then, and end the series there. Because after that game is made, you're basically just milking the series for all its worth.

I hope they mean online coop. I can't stand split screen. Heck, I can't even stand using a normal format TV anymore.
Why do developers avoid network code on the Wii?

Don't count on online co-op for the Wii. It must be split-screen, because any Wii-game can have "unique co-op" on a single screen simply by having one player hold the Wii Remote and the other hold the Nunchuk.

"It's going to look better than any Wii game I've ever seen on the market." whoa, that's an overly-high standard to put on a game. It's like: "My game will be better than all the other games ever."....good luck then...

Has it been confirmed that the Wii version will support online play?
That's really what it comes down to.

You're right in that I won't buy the game at all unless it has decent game play.
But if the Wii version doesn't support online and the other platforms do, they'll have to convince me that it has significantly better game play on Wii than other platforms. Not sure if that's possible.
