I love all the sub-25 year olds who don't think Aerosmith deserve a game like this.
You're right, it should be Fall Out Boy or My Chemical Romance. They've been around for decades and still put out hits...
OH WAIT, THAT IS NOT THE CASE.
Aerosmith has been around forever and still has been putting out new music that sells. Aerosmith, U2, AC/DC, and the Stones are the only bands that still (occasionally) put out new music that people care about as well as having an extensive back catalog.
If you can't understand that, go back to your emo.

You're missing the point. NO BAND deserves this many songs on one game. Its just dull and even more repetitive than usual. I think eras and genres are much better suited to game versions.

How about the over 30's who think Aerosmith sucks? Just as bad, but in different ways then the 'emo' band.
Do you still love us too?

Hey, I'm over 25 and under 30, and I hate Aerosmith just as much as everyone else... That said, I'm sure Aerosmith fans are just as happy about this as I would be if there were any Megadeth tracks available for Rock Band.

My wife got if for me as a surprise so I'm excited about it. Plus it gives me a chance to take advantage of the GH3 Disc replacement program without taking a ding in my faux rocking skills and abilities

Wait, wait, wait... a cover of Mott the Hoople's "All the Young Dudes"? If it's a cover of a cover, why not just credit the original artist? WTF?

I'm guessing its in the style of the cover, not the original, if there's any difference (I have no idea who that band is).

That does seem surprising. But I looked it up, and apparently David Bowie wrote the song specifically for Mott the Hoople (then performed it himself). So it's not really a cover.

Personally, I'm more turned off by the fact that it is an incredibly short list of songs. I mean GHIII has seventy songs, Rock Band has over sixty. So why doe this game only have forty?

Everyone IS right, Aerosmith doesn't deserve this, but METALLICA does.

Metallica deserves nothing more than a swift kick in the nuts for suing their fans who got them where they are, and for Hetfield's country-ish vocal twang in recent decades.

From what I have heard, from other players with similar skill leve, is that Guitar Hero Aerosmith has some fun riffs, and it is much more casual.
That Lenny Kravitz song on the demo was really fun. I'll pick this up.

All the Aerosmith songs I really wanted are on here (Kings and Queens especially), but I'm shocked and offended that there's no Deep Purple here.
"...Joe [Perry] told me that Aerosmith (back in the 1325 days) used to listen to the Deep Purple albums 'Machine Head' and 'Burn' constantly," from here, for example.
Just a rent for me, but it should be fun for a little while.

I don't like Aerosmith at all either but if there's music to play for the Wii to help me tide over time for GH World Tour than time to play.

I was thinking of buying this for my Real Console (The 360) but after looking over that, I think vomiting would be much better than this swift kick in the balls (Even if I wanted to buy the Wii Version on its own, I couldn't do so for a week afterwards, even though all the other releases have them on the day. How rare.)
As others have said, there is NO reason to have a Guitar Hero game dedicated to just one band, Rock Band seems to keep things kicking nicely with a Tri-Pack of any one bands songs, which means your not getting too bored of one style. Rock the 80's was a Joke, this is about as funny as getting your ribs smashed by a 10 Foot Dolly Parton.

I'm going to leave the fact that it's 90% Aerosmith songs alone for a second. I'm not a huge Aerosmith fan, but their stuff would probably make for an at least decent Guitar Hero game. The thing is, there's only 41 tracks. I'm pretty sure GHIII had 70 some? I don't know, I could be wrong. If the thing was like 30 bucks, maybe even 40 bucks I'd think about picking it up. Maybe. but for full retail... not so much. There's just not enough there.

Of course there aren't as many songs - DLC is what really brought home the cash for Guitar Hero III and Rock Band. So why include stuff on the disc if they can just sell it to you later on a per-purchase basis. Honestly? This entire game should have been a downloadable add-on to GH3 with a price point of, say, $40. That this thing is going to retail, and likely at full price (if the GH2 expansion is a model to work from) is kind of shameful.
They're going to burn people out on this genre before it ever has a chance to hit its stride. It's one thing to add extra content for extra cash after the game is truly finished, but it's another thing to skimp on content and then release it later with an additional cost associated with it. If this title launches at the $60 price point it will not only fail, it will DESERVE to fail. In short? This:
