The graphical level looks nice. High Voltage seems to be the "Rare" of 2008 Nintendo.

I was gonna pass on Gyrostarr, but for only 700 points, I may as well go for it.
...if I can fit it, that is. If I can't, well...sorry, High Voltage! Blame Nintendo for being morons about storage space!

Since the levels are procedurally generated, that should keep it down in size
btw, i finished Okami last night. That scene where Issun distributes his artwork almost made me cry. Yami still wasn't as hard as Ninetails, though. I guess they figured they would nerf the boss if they were taking all of your skills away. The only hard part was at the very beginning, when i forgot that you could attack with all of your items taken away, and i kept falling in the holes he made

heh - yeah, that part did make me cry the first time I played it. It's the only time a game has ever gotten that kind of reaction from me.
I thought Ninetails was a lot easier than Yami, personally. On the PS2 version I remember him being tougher, but I just kind of eviscerated him on the Wii version. I took most of him down with a damage scroll, actually. Once he stops splitting apart, he's a lot easier to deal with, I think.
Yami feels harder to me because he takes so damned long to beat! I can beat him in barely under 45 minutes. Although the hardest fight in the game to me is the guy you fight in the snowy lands who turns into a wolf (I'm blanking on his name). It's the only time I died in the PS2 version, I believe, and I actually died on him again on the Wii version.

Why is everyone praising High Voltage Games so much? Looking at their review scores, they seem to be quite low, the highest being All Star Baseball 2001 with an 85%. Maybe, 50 Cent Bulletproof was misunderstood, but I don't really see any game that sounded exciting. That said, I'm still going to download Gyrostarr only because I'm a huge fan of shooters.

Probably because High Voltage seems like their the only ones to actually try and do something interesting on the Wii, in various forms of games.

I'm willing to give them a shot. They seem passionate about what they're doing, for one. Their back catalog of work looks mostly like they've done grunt work for other companies...doing ports and lesser versions of games, etc.
So it should be interesting to see what they can do when they go off and completely do their own thing.

I usually check YouTube when I see VC games I'm not that familiar with. Well anywho, Burning Fight appears to be another Final Fight / Streets of Range clone, but it looks like a beautiful clone! I'll certainly drop my $9 on this one when I can.
