One of the most highly-anticipated Virtual Console titles arrives in Japan today, eliminating the need to hunt down an expensive cartridge. Even the somewhat high 900 point price Nintendo is asking is understandable given the nature of the game. That's right, today Japanese gamers can celebrate the arrival of Ninja Commando -- and, according to the ESRB, we could see it soon as well! What? It looks fun.
- Super Mario RPG (Super Famicom, 1 player, 900 Wii Points)
- Phantasy Star IV Sennenki no Owari Ni (The End of the Millennium) (Mega Drive, 1 player, 700 Wii Points
- Paranoia (Psychosis) (PC Engine, 1 player, 600 Wii Points)
- Ninja Commando (Neo Geo, 1-2 players, 900 Wii Points)

...The US gets shafted again. SMRPG is the last game I've been waiting for on the VC. This better be a sign of things to come for the US.

Do you still have a SNES and the cartridge? Or you could just use an emulator with the ROM if you really wanted it. I have both versions and 800 wii points for it just to have it on the Wii (that is if it isn't 900) doesn't really thrill me. Nintendo already got $70 from me back in the day for the game and I love the game, but to give them more money for it....

I have both the cartridge and the rom, but having it on the Wii gives me an excuse to play it again. There's also just some appeal to have it on the Wii for some reason. Besides, I have an unused 900 points on my Wii right now that I can't see using it for anything better than SMRPG.

And now the wait begins. If SMRPG doesn't come out in America this year its going to really blow.

Here's a message for Nintendo, until you release it on the Virtual Console, I'm keeping the ROM on my PC. Mark my words; no deleting until you release it for 800 or 900 points. Honestly, what's the worst that can do? Release it?
