The "Nintendo Icon" Amazon Gold Box has gone live, so it's time for those of you who can shop at Amazon.com to get your credit cards at the ready. With nine different deals on the table today, you might just find something that appeals to you.The "Deal of the Day" is Super Smash Bros. Brawl for $25.99, which really leaves you with no excuse not to buy it. The lightning deals are where the excitement is always at, though, and there are eight of them that will cycle throughout the day.
Before we get into what's on the list, we must say that the sales are slightly disappointing. Maybe it's just us, but we wish Amazon had included more second-party titles. After all, such games are considered "Nintendo Icons," too. There's one title in particular that we feel is sorely missing -- but we digress.
To see Amazon's hints for the eight lightning deals, just click past the break.
Note: These deals are listed in Pacific Time.

"Set sail for waters Unknown" could also be Endless Ocean. Endless Ocean is usually 29.99 on amazon so I can see them putting this on sale. Then again Phantom Hourglass has been out for awhile now so they might want to get rid of it.

OH and I just bought Super Smash Bros Brawl. Not to bad for half price. I just wish they had No More Heroes on sale today.

Really 2pm-4pm you guess Mario Kart DS? I think it's going to be Mario Kart Wii. I hope it's Mario Kart Wii.

Mario Kart Wii seems to be sold out on Amazon, which is why it's probably Mario Kart DS. I'm with you, though -- I'd rather it be Wii :P.

It may be out of stock for now, but HOPEFULLY, Amazon has an numerous copies of the game saved for 2pm PDT.
My friends that have copies of this game constantly pressure me to buy it. I then convince them to buy Brawl in return.

I think it probably will be Mario Kart Wii since there's a lot more DS games on the list than Wii games, so they'll probably balance them out.

Hmm... Now that I really think about it, I'd buy it if it was either one - Wii or DS because both seem really good. I haven't bought the DS one mostly because I was waiting for a good price on it (I only like buying games on the cheap). This is the opportunity!

So I finally bought Super Smash Bros. I was waiting for just such a deal to come along (and it payed off!). Now I'll have to find ways to check Amazon all day for the rest of the day in case any of these turn out to be surprises (like if they had Mario Kart Wii on sale). Thanks Wii Fanboy for the tip!

I was hoping to pick up Fire Emblem and Okami for around $60, which would've been awesome, but i can still possibly get MK Wii to go with my $35 Galaxy, which would still be awesome
