Battle college football mascots in EA's All-Play
If you enjoy football games but aren't into the NCAA, it looks like NCAA Football 09 might still have something entertaining to offer. Granted, it's the silliest of features -- and rather pointless, in the grand scheme of things -- but we'll be the first to say that watching teams of mascots throwing the old pigskin made us smile. Where else can you play football as a team full of elephants?
Of course, if you do like college football, this is just an added bonus. Interested parties can NCAA Football 09 All-Play to release next week on the 15th in North America.

As a longtime fan of college football and the college football video games, I can safely say that I'm ashamed of the recent effort of EA for the Wii. They've made a kiddy, goofy version of the game to cash in on DDI's market share. The graphics are subpar and cartoony, and the extreme waggle for endzone celebrations are just too much. I was really looking forward to this, but this effort by EA is just insulting. Congrats, EA. You've just downgraded a must-buy into a "let-me-know-when-you're-serious".

Yep, I see no point in considering most EA sports titles for the Wii, if any. Why do some publishers think the *only* way to differentiate the Wii versions is by going downstream?
Look at PES or even Force Unleashed to see it can be a parallel move. Or god forbid, an upstream move.
The mascot play is plain stupid. Playing the 360 NCAA 09 demo, I played the mascot mode and was bored in 30 seconds.
I don't how Peter Berg filmed that Hancock scene in the jail with EA execs and designers, but they certainly found the right people for the parts.

How about NCAA Football 2003 for the Gamecube?
You could play as mascots then as well (yes, even the Crimson Tide). I love how EA takes the feature out for a few years, then puts it back in and tries to sell it as a great new feature. Weak.

Wii's college football 09 is the worst game I have ever played. I am soo angry about this I don't know what to do. I have to buy a PS3 or 360 to play a darn sports game. This all play thing taking up all the space for online is rediculous. People who like football want to play this game, not whatever audience they are going for. WE WANT A SIMULATION. TECMOBOWL IS 1000X better than this game.
