I agree. My only hope for it are that it can pick up speech from a distance, so everything won't either sound incredibly faint, or it can't pick up anything at all. I also hope Nintendo uses this in thier future games.

I understand the point of WiiMusic, but it isn't a showcapper. It's the epitome of a casual game -- something that doesn't require a lot of skill that's fun in a group. Aimed at kids.
Honestly, they really needed to promote a killer action game. I'm not saying anything they did was bad because they're obviously targeting some very profitable markets, but they clearly missed the most important niche of gamers here.

Yeah but we don't care. These games may get everyone involved but for most everyone here these game make too many concessions to allow ANYONE to play. Videogames have always been about skill and Nintendo is throwing that heritage out the window. The Wii is like the Little League where they don't keep score and everyone gets a trophy at the end.
For every 10 games they produce to get your grandma interested they make one that you (i.e. gamer) can play for more than 10 minutes at a time without getting bored from the simplicity.
