There's just one thing dampening the ol' enthusiasm, though. Now that we've seen the swordplay in Wii Sports Resort with Wii MotionPlus, it's hard to get excited about a pre-accessory game like this. We want lightsaber duels, and we were told first to look to The Force Unleashed, and then to Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Lightsaber Duels. Look, it's even in the name. And yet, now it seems somewhat diminished by a dude slicing at a block of wood in a beach-themed mini-game collection.
If nothing else, the two (or three) will make for great comparisons when they're all released. But somehow, we think we might not be alone in hoping, for once, for a delay.

Yea, they should just put this out then work with the MotionPlus.
Basically take the katanas from Wii Sports Resort, and add lights to them. Make it First Person, and have a story mode that isn't linked to anything, just make it like, all of the Jedi and Sith have met up for a fighting match to see who is -- once and for all, the number one at fighting with a lightsaber.
Add force moves, via holding Z or C and pushing the nunchuck to a certain place and add 2 player offline and 2 player offline, but with online leaderboards and rankings.
That's the game we want!

I would love for two 2-player offline modes(IT'D BE THE FIRST GAME TO HAVE IT!) but I'd rather stick with 2-player offline along with 2-player VS. Online.

"Never really watched The Clone Wars show"
The show premiers this fall. There was another Clone Wars show on Cartoon Network, but that was different in and in the anime style of Samurai Jack.

Just being a Star Wars nerd here...
No one has really watched the Clone Wars show, except for people at Lucasfilm animation, because it hasn't come out yet.
It's a whole new deal. Movie next month. TV show in the Fall.
The style is different. But looking at hi-res imagery from the upcoming film, it actually looks pretty good...if still a bit odd.

WOW
The people at Lucasarts are totally clueless.
It's not first person? No 1:1 motion?
Damn WTF? The new Wii Sports fencing looks way better than this.
This just as bad as making a side scrolling Punch Out!
It's like they have no idea what we want.
have they not played Sega's Star Wars Trilogy Arcade game?
WTF?
