Wii Fit and Super Smash Bros. Brawl have combined to conquer Europe this week (apart from Denmark where -- gah! -- the Brawl slayer Pro Cycling Manager 2008: Tour De France is now top!).In fact, it's been a week for Nintendo to cherish, with games for the Wii and DS taking up eight places in Holland's top ten, and every single spot in the German chart. Howzat?! In slightly more upsetting news, Carnival: Funfair Games has been spotted skulking around the UK top ten again. Ewww.
Check out the full charts from across the continent past the jump.
Note: All throughout the summer months, the Swedish charts will be on hiatus, and should return later this year. Bloody part-timers! No wonder everyone wants to live there.

Of course Carnival Games is there. It's being sold (like other casual atrocities like Big Beach Sports, etc) for about £10!! That's like a third or even a quarter of the price of a regular game! How can quality games compete for the money of casual gamers against dirt-cheap shovelware? It's not fair dammit!!

Looking at these charts makes me wonder, that Denmark has a lot less hardcore gamers compared to other European countries.
Pro Cycling Manager 2008: Tour De France - Tour De France is wildly popular here
LEGO Indiana Jones: Original Adventures - This game was shown on TV in Go' Morgen Danmark (Good Morning Denmark), and two kids plus a reviewer was shown playing it. It got 6/6 stars i think.
FIFA 08 - All the non-gamer guys buys Fifa games here, and it has always been that way.
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock - Guitar Hero.... need i say more?
The Sims 2: IKEA Home Stuff - Man, The Sims will forever be one of the most popular game franchises in Denmark. And let me tell you why: Because all the girls are playing it! I think even the most non-gamer girl in this country, have at least tried The Sims 2, and enjoyed it. Trust me, The Sims 3 will dominate the Danish charts! (I even used to play Sims 2 myself, i have like 6 expansion packs)
Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - If you don't live in Denmark, it's probably hard to understand how an older GTA game can still be on the top 10 charts. But GTA is one of the most popular game franchises in the country among guys, even the casual audience. And for GTA IV - ......well, i think that's self explanatory ;)
Battlefield: Bad Company - Let's face it, it's new, it's multi-platform (except Wii), it has destructible environments, excelent graphics, and it's Battlefield!! :D
As for Brawl, it will probably stay a little longer i guess, but the Wii isn't the most popular console here, that is the PS3's job.
So, any Danish people who agrees with me?

I know that, but it attracts a huge amount of casual gamers too.

Surely the fact that Lego is a Denmark-based company has something to do with popularity of LEGO Indiana Jones there, no?

Oh right, i forgot that! Yea, i'm sure that has something do with it too, definetly. Lego is really popular between kids here in Denmark. I even used to play with it myself when i was younger.
