Good news for people who want even more space shooters on the Wii: the Milestone Shooting Collection, a three-game bundle including Chaos Field, Radilgy and Karous, has been picked up for U.S. release on September 23 by UFO Interactive. Chaos Field was released here on the GameCube in 2005, but the other two games are completely new to us -- partly because the GameCube release of Radilgy was cancelled. When Milestone announced this item for Japanese release last May, it was going to be a retail release of Karous only. Then Milestone decided to throw a couple of bonus games on there, and then it became the "Shooting Collection." The bundle is probably the only way it could ever get picked up by an American publisher. And $30 isn't bad at all for three games, even in the age of downloadable games!

'bout damn time! I've been waiting for Radilgy since they first announced it. The price is right, too.

I was interested because I was not at all familiar with these games and I thought they might be shooting/light gun games. Alas, they are the Super R Type of shooter...
I'd like to see a collection of all the older light gun games for the NES and SNES collected in both original forms and maybe with new updated and expanded versions and set up to work with the Wiimote. Oh well... it will probably never happen!

If this was announced at E3, it would have been the most exciting thing announced for wii.

Is it just me, or is Wii easily the best console for Shmups? I'm still loving Blast Works, looking forward to the return of Gradius via WiiWare, playing classics like Soldier Blade on the Virtual Console... and now we find out that more shmups are on the way?
Sweet.

Yes, it is. I don't know what the 360 has other than Ikaruga (which I can play on my Wii via the GameCube disc), but the PS3 currently has nothing... Until Thursday, when finally one will hit the PSN, in 1942: Joint Strike. It's a start, but I want more. It's one thing that I love about the Wii, especially the Hudson shmups. LOVE them.

I hope it's formatted to handle widescreen. Borders of any size are far superior to stretching, especially being vertical games.

The Wii is most certainly turning into a nice system for shmup fans. As someone who wants even more space shooters (ironic italics not included) on the Wii, count me as happy and looking forward to this game!

Great price, and should controll extremely well with the Hori Stick or PS2-Adaptor plus Arcade stick (the way I play most VC games), given the game also supports GC peropherals (does it?)
And no PAL release date in sight :(
We need more niche publishers around here, so we can also play games like this or Octomania.
