Whether you don't yet own Guitar Hero III or just want to pick up another Les Paul guitar, you might find yourself shopping at Circuit City this week. The retailer is selling bundles of the game for the low price of $59.99, which is the same price (and even cheaper, depending on where you find it) as a standalone guitar.
If interested, you can either drive yourself over to a brick and mortar store or check out this deal online. It might be worth it to have an extra guitar for when Guitar Hero: World Tour rolls around, after all.

Almost makes me wish I had waited. I only bought it a couple months ago, when it was $80, a pretty sizable discount. $60 is a prime deal. Economically, GH on Wii is the smarter choice over RB.

Not necessarily. Economics is about cost-benefit analysis and I'd definitely say there's more benefit to Rock Band than GHIII. $60 is a good price but it'll come down more soon. I bought GHII (360) for $27 and I expect to get the third version for around the same price.

Whether there's more "benefit" to one or the other is up for debate...in pretty much every forum on the net.
What we know for sure is that an RB guitar alone is $60 (new on Amazon). With this deal, it's like you get the GH3 game as a free bonus. And a bass guitar ready to go for GH:WT (which I'm predicting will be the game to get for Wii owners).
Of course, you could always wait and see, and when both RB2 and GH:WT are out, you'll be able to get all the previous games/accessories for at least this good of a discount.
