Remember that Mega Man 9 boxart/shirt we featured last week during E3? Of course you do, how could you ever forget its magnificent image? Apparently, I Am 8-bit artist Gerald de Jesus was commissioned for the homage to Mega Man's packaging designs of yore. The shirts were originally created exclusively for Capcom's staff, including director Hironobu Takeshita and producer Keiji Inafune, with a limited run of four. But after seeing fan reactions to the astounding apparel, the publisher has decided to make t-shirts with the Mega Man 9 cover art "available for purchase soon" in the States. Oh, wondrous day!
Let's all hope Capcom decides to make a lot more than just four shirts this time!

Okay, I'm not even going to pretend to understand the rabid fascination with the re-issue of Mega Man 9.
My Mega Man days started on the GBA with Megaman Zero (2,3,4) and happily remained there till Megaman ZX for the DS.
But that has got to be the ugliest box art I've seen in a very long time.
Some things really need to stay buried in the past.

Re-issue? This isn't a re-issue - it's a brand new game.
Don't disrespect your gaming elders.

i think you cannot understand because of you age. you missed an era where megaman classic series was the real thing. megaman began to suck real hard with Zero, ZX series and X4 upward.
the mm9 boxart itself is a kind of joke, because IIRC the same kind of silliness (a man in a blue suit with a PISTOL *lol*) was used for mm2.
man, u missed the eighties, bad for you and don't judge the old gems you never had a chance to enjoy because you were not born.

Folks, I freely admited to not understanding the fascination with Mega Man 9.
And I'm probably not considered a Mega Man connisseur since I actually enjoyed the later Mega Man games on the PS2 which is near sacrilege for some in the Mega Man fan universe.
Personally, I found the Mega Man Zero series for the GBA and now the DS far more accessible and "fun" to me. That doesn't mean I'm bashing those who enjoy the original Mega Man.
However, with all of that said, none of that changes the fact I still think that shirt is butt ugly.

That's amazingly awesome, lol. Just... woah. I didn't catch the news on this the first time around, but I'm glad I saw it now!
It's a lot better than the old MM1 Artwork, quality wise, but it is such a great throwback.

It's amazingly awful, and I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they ever mass-produced them.
