For those of you who've been tracking Quantum of Solace over at The Stiq, you know that most of the worthwhile things to discuss about the game have come from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. Well, it would appear that Activision isn't leaving Wii owners out to dry, as some cool features are being utilized in the Wii version of the title.
For one, there will be multiple control schemes. Gamers can use the tried-and-true Wiimote and Nunchuk setup, or they can bust out their Zapper and play with that. On top of that, Activision has also confirmed the game will feature online multiplayer, as well as 4-player split-screen local multiplayer, which is exclusive to the Wii installment.
Activision is also hard at work to make sure the game is no graphical slouch. Seeing as how the engine behind the game is the same used in Call of Duty 4, we're sure Quantum of Solace will have some lovely visuals.

The real question is, can I pistol whip someone by swinging the wiimote?

Nice! Finally, we get a game that can be played in style (ala Goldeneye). Four player split-screen local multiplayer is exclusive to the Wii? How awesome is that? :-)

Seriously, hopefully this will live up to the greatness that is Goldeneye. I don't have very high hopes for multiplatform titles, even less so for movie cash-ins, but we'll see how this goes.

I hope this game is not as bad as other bond games have been since GoldenEye.

Did you even play Nightfire? That game was the fucking shit.

I agree. I played Nightfire nightly with a buddy on a projector up at college. The ability to pick your bots, their play styles, and the weapons was phenomenal.

I hate when they say games are "Zapper Compatible". ITS A PIECE OF PLASTIC. Technically all Wii games are "Zapper Compatible".

Actually, they mean the game will have a configuration specially for the Zapper, because you know, when going with the zapper, you are unnable of using the upper buttons on the wiimote, and the action have to be remaped.
Try playing Medal of honor with the zapper without and with the zapper configuration adn you 'll note that telling "Zapper Compatible" has a heavy meaning

Wow the zapper, guys can play with a hardshell even though not using it will give you the same result. I never liked the zapper, its a toy hardshell and it isn't even a real light gun. Whats the point? To have a non real looking, no recoil gun. Its a damn toy made for looks.
And exclusive online play for Wii? I'll have to wait and see how that turns out.
And I read that the CoD 4 engine isn't been used on Wii, I could be wrond though.

They're using the CoD4 engine, not the game...same as with CoD:W@W (both developed by Treyarch and published by Activision). Treyarch has defined the engine as "modified" for the Wii, so it won't look _quite_ as good as CoD4 does for the other consoles, but it should look pretty damned good compared with other shooters out there for the Wii!

Are there any actual Wii version videos or at least screenshots out there? I really want to see how it's shaping up but I'm worried they're hiding this version because it's very inferior or something...
Similarly for the Wii version of COD5, they claim graphics are great (for Wii) and they've shown a couple of screenshots but no videos or anything...
Anybody with information, please link...

Does no one use the Nintendo Channel? The Quantum of Solace trailer has been on there for like 2 weeks.
If you want to see the Wii version just check the channel.

Please, third parties, please don't get my hopes up and then destroy them. MoH:H2 was a start to online FPS (a bit rough though).

i am glad to see more developers actually working to make good 3rd party games for example Spiderman WOS, Star Wars Force Unleashed,CoD5,Skate It,The Conduit and some i cant remember but i think its a shame that the COD4 Engine couldnt have been used on the wii version of Force Unleashed.
