We're back again, with a fresh video that's piping hot with gaming goodness. Oh, and there's some dude talking over the whole thing. We're sorry about that. He will be taken care of.
After checking out the video above, head past the break for the rest.

Samurai Shodown II (NEOGEO, 1-2 players, 900 Wii Points)
SNK's fighting franchise hasn't enjoyed the large fanbase it has over the years for nothing. No, solid gameplay got them to the place they're at and Samurai Shodown II easily stands the test of time. If you enjoy the genre, Samurai Shodown II should be in your collection in some form.

Ys Book 1 & II(TurboGrafx16 CD-ROM, 1 player, 800 Wii Points)
Apparently, Ys is a big deal? It's actually two games packed in one, for only 8 bucks. So, it's kind of hard to come up with reasons why you shouldn't pick this up. And, given that we don't really like that effort thing, we won't even try. Check out this classic action RPG!

Thanks! But what happened to "Download" and "Do Not Download"?
I already download SS II and like it, but the CPU is cheap.

Yeah, I nixed those from the lot this week. I didn't want to leave it up in the air with Ys (as said, I couldn't make any kind of judgment call on its worth, having only played it for a short while) and do the usual with Samurai Shodown II. So I just nixed them both for this week.
If everyone wants me to keep doing that, just let me know. Otherwise, I might consider getting rid of it permanently.

While a glib "keep or pass" system can be very alienating (especially since some of them were straight-up wrong), it does work to give the average consumer the right idea
The ones that make people angry only make fanboys angry anyway. Like when i got mad about the declaration of "Do Not" for Neo Turf Masters, which i am a fanboy of

David, I'd like a Download or Do Not Download tagline underneath each one as well. I was always a big fan of those, although they didn't really ever influence my choices.
It was just kinda like a 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' to me, and it was a nice way to see your overall thoughts of a game.

Thanks for the input, sexy readers. Maybe I'll whip up a simple .gif image to use instead of the text, like an actual thumbs up or thumbs down.
Anywho, keep the input coming! I'm not doing these for myself, after all.
Although, I do watch them. Alone. In my underwear.

Hey, good releases this week. Does this mean there's nothing for WiiWare, though?

I am almost certain "Ys" is pronounced the same way you would say "ease".

A couple of important points:
It's pronounced "ee-s". I only know because it says it in a video in the game. I think if you leave it at the title screen, if memory serves. Or maybe it's between Book I & Book II.
I can see how you'd be confused by the combat system, but it's very simple once you know. HIT THE MOBS OFF CENTER. Hit them straight and you'll take damage, hit them off center and you won't. The game isn't meant to be random hope in regards to taking damage. It's more about timing and evasion than luck. I hope you can add a little note for Ys so that people won't think it's just bump and hope.

Well... this VC Monday Madness video was good, but I enjoy the ones where David gets drunk before recording them. THOSE are the "Money VC Monday Madness" videos!

If I had a dollar for every time David Hinkle said "like," "ummm" or "y'know," I would be a rich man. Think before you talk, please.

Chill out dude! Don't rag on the Hinkle!
It's not like you're paying for any of the content on this site. If you don't like David's videos, don't watch them! And David, you just keep doing what you're doing! You know we all love you!
