The Nyko Wing solves the one seeming design flaw of the normal Classic Controller -- that short length of cord. Of course, the tradeoff is that you now have AAA batteries to contend with. And also that the controller looks kind of janky (that would be more of a concern if it looked uncomfortable-janky instead of just regular janky).
Is the wirelessness worth the battery thing and the slightly less elegant presentation? Have you been waiting for a wireless Classic Controller solution? Have you ever wanted to be, like, three feet away from your Wiimote?

Wait, seriously?

Holy crap, SMRPG hits North Amarica today!!!!!
I like the look of the Wing controller, but I can't imagine why they'd make it wireless. It's not a motion controller like the nunchuck, so there's no harm done by keeping it restrained to the Wii remote. Perhaps what they should have done is put some sort of snap on the back so that the Wii remote clips in place. That prevents any ugly wires, but at the same time keeps us from having to buy batteries.
And seriously, AAA? Why not the more standard, equally expensive, and slightly-longer-lasting AA size?

What they really need is a single device which acts as a "wiimote + controller" not a wireless replacement for the "+ controller" portion. In other words, make it so that the wiimote is essentially inside the controller, as opposed to the current method of being a separate external device.
The wii is bluetooth enabled so what makes doing this so difficult? Come to think of it, I've not seen 3rd party wiimotes so maybe that is part of the problem there.

This makes a hell of a lot more sense than that stupid wireless nunchuck. The Wiimote dangling down between your legs is kind of awkward. ;>_>
I just use a Game Cube controller, though.

I've been waiting for some sort of option... This may be it... Here's hoping they arn't dumb enough to put a $40 price tag on it...

Actually, it solves one more glaring problem:
It eschewed the ridges that are around each analog stick. Those ridges really limited my enjoyment of Geometry Wars. This will be an instabuy for me.

I just want something where the joysticks are in a more comfortable place. They are way too far away from the sides of the controller on Nintendo's model. Well not way too far, but far enough to make it slightly uncomfortable.

Is the Nyko CC the only wireless CC available? I was browsing through the new Argos catalogue and i came across a wireless one. It has the same design (execpt the buttons and sticks are grey)

Honestly, I see no problem with putting my Wii Remote on the arm of the chair I'm in and using the corded Classic. If this worked really well, say, across the room, that'd be one thing.
