Imagine our surprise when we heard that Nintendo of Japan plans to release Disaster: Day of Crisis on September 25th. After hearing barely anything about the game for months, including a no-show at E3 and PAX, we were incredibly doubtful the game would release this calendar year, yet alone at all. But, sure enough, the official Nintendo of Japan website has it listed. Right here.
So with a Japanese release ironed out and the European release date for October 24th set in stone, when can North America expect the game? We've contacted Nintendo and are awaiting word. As soon as we get it, we'll update the post.

I'm really getting tired of Nintendo's marketing, or lack thereof. Fans have been waiting for this game for 2 years, and they decide to announce a release date literally days before it hits shelves, with no prior information? On the up side, if the game sucks ass, then at least our hopes wouldn't have been crushed from years of pent up hype.

fuck, this doesn't sound good at all...
unless the screens recently released were old, i still thought some major polishing could have been done in the visual department - i honestly thought this was going to be released early next year or something
oh well, i would love to be pleasantly surprised by anything the game has to offer
i just need this to average a 75% or better and i'd gladly fork over moneys for a retail copy

NoA isn't going to say anything, but it was kinda imperative to ask
That being said, if the other two regions are picking up on it, NoA will, too
Though maybe with more of a delay

Bloody hell, I'm so tired of North American getting jibbed. I can't take these all loving Madden, Halo people who show no appreciation for the great games rlsing overseas. Japan gets everything 1st and maybe rightfully so, but these excruiating month long waits are too much for me. Bleh, either way I can't wait until it DOD comes out, Nintendo has some great games lines up, woooho =)

I completely missed that, because I always check for releases on the official Nintendo of Japan website here (http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/index.html), where there is no mention of D:DoC.
I thought this month would be easy on my wallet, with no releases I'm really very interested (which is a good thing, because there are 4 or 5 games I'm really interested in next month). I expect now I'll be buying Disaster, if it really does show up this month.
