With all the fuss about Animal Crossing lately, we'd nearly forgotten about Rune Factory Frontier. That's not terribly surprising, considering that details on the franchise's Wii debut have been few and far between lately, and City Folk dominated the land-and folk-tending genre at E3. New screenshots have surfaced, however, and after ogling, we thought we'd ask you which you prefer: Animal Crossing or Rune Factory?Boldly go into the Rune Factory Frontier gallery

Oh, come on. They're both excellent franchises. And funnily enough, I've never compared the two to each other. I mean, I see their similarities now especially with the townsfolk questing you have to do in each.
Nonetheless, I'm picking them both up; Animal Crossing out of pure nostalgia, Frontier out of sheer excitement.

I'm getting both but now I'm more interested in Rune Factory. Animal Crossing just seems like more of the same. At least with Rune Factory, there's more for you to do.

Definately Rune Factory, but I've never really liked Animal Crossing. Also, some of those new screenshots look beautiful.

I want this way more then Animal Crossing. I picked up my Rune Factory DS game 3 weeks ago, been playing it ever since even though I should've been playing FFIV and Tactics. I LOVE THIS GAME.

No way, man. Animal crossing is *way* more hard-core.
