Why would they be panicking? They have plenty of hardcore games in development and some good games coming out this fall. There is no need for them to panic.

I'm pretty sure they didn't accidently start releasing casual games, if there is a conference they were problably planning it all along. Would also explain why they haven't cared about the other expo's as much.

It wouldn't be an "epic fail" if gamers had realistic expectations. If you look past the lack of Kid Icarus (AND PIKMIN!!!) you could see the good games that we're there Wii Sports 2/MotionPlus Animal Crossing/Wii Speak.

no, i have to side with the epic fail crowd. Not for the reasons that most people claim (Nintendo hasn't turned its back on us), but just because it was a poor showing from start to finish. The only games they showed were Guitar Hero On Tour Decades, Call of Duty W@W, Wii Music, Animal Crossing, Shaun White's snowboarding, and Wii Sports resort. 6 games in all, and then there was Cammie's whole agonizing performance, the very misleading way they pitched the show ahead of time, and the "seriously, that didn't satisfy you? wtf?" attitude that Reggie had afterwards

Few games, none of them really compelling, bad scripting, deceptive marketing, and a bad attitude overall.

Well whatever, back to the conference. Chances are we'll hear about something that doesn't even slightly concern the core. . . But like i said be realistic.
