Good to see that this game has a little more freedom than a lightgun shooter.

first day purchase? i haven't made one in such a long time, methinks i should break the habit with this title!

No kidding. I wouldn't be able to handle another Spore or Force Unleashed.

Good going, Nintendo: You sold yourself a copy (even if you don't bring it to NA, i'm quickly learning to read Japanese, and the VA is already in American English)
But my guess is that they're holding off on an NA announcement until hurricane season is over, pending any Disasters.
Free movement is all i was after. My hype for it was like a reverse bell curve. High from E3 06 onward, then started lowering when the first screens were shown a year ago, troughed out with those "OMG its gonna be a QTE waggle fest" vids they showed a week ago, and is now back up to the top

I knew I was right to have high hopes for this title. *knock on wood*
And honestly, I think this game's gunna be out extremely soon. Like 'in between Japan and Europe release' soon. A breath of fresh air not only as a Wii game, but for a game in general. A mature (right?) game that doesn't involve mass amounts of blood, aliens, and face rips. All in all it just looks like a balls to the wall good time. The Wii is good for something. All of those who say otherwise will shut up when they see more games like these for the system. I can't wait.
And to agree with Mogster.....PLEASE BE AS GOOD AS YOU LOOK.

I'm excited. I've had my eye on this for a while. Trailers seem to show there is some depth beyond button mashing sequences and light gun shooting alone. (although the button mashing sequences seem like great moments.)
Overall this game looks pretty epic, and it's something that hasn't been done before (survivng natural disasters) so consider it a purchase IF I see decent reviews first. If it's somehow like 6 I'd still rent it, but I bet it will at least be around an 8 or 8.5 if it's as good as it looks.

Well, this trailer pumped me back to get a copy of this game i can see developers are working hard to make a good game on the Wiim one of the kind we have longed for.
Even though maybe i won't be playing it, i want to let the developers there is support to more titles like this. As a software developer (and hope, future game developer) it pretty awesome to know people is unsing your works result

I was sure to finish up both Captain Rainbow and Fatal Frame 4 last weekend, so I would have a clean slate to tackle Disaster when it releases next week.
Yay!

Looks like as you're moving freely around in the environment you come into contact with enemy gunmen, at which point you must perform a waggle QTE to duck for cover and go into lightgun mode. That is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Sounds like a really interesting gameplay experience, and pretty realistic too.

Fricken' awesome.
Looking forward to this.
It HAS to come out in NA, it's in English for god's sake-- it would be a waste not to just translate the text!
