VC Monday Madness: Super Dodge Ball and Vectorman

While most of the attention is being lavished on the latest WiiWare release, don't discount today's Virtual Console offerings. Up for grabs are two very solid retro titles for the Sega Genesis and NES. Check out the video above, then cruise past the break for the rest.

Super Dodge Ball (NES, 1 - 2 players, 500 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

Super Dodge Ball was one of those competitive games where all bets were off. When I was a kid, playing this meant bringing your best and nothing but. When the game was over, friendship was restored and peace once again became the order of the day. The game is easy to pick up and play, and is fast and chaotic. Playing against a friend is one of the best times I've ever had gaming. Tight controls, challenging gameplay and amazing multiplayer make this a total package.

Vectorman (Sega Genesis, 1 player, 800 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: download it!

Vectorman was a big hit when it originally released on the Sega Genesis. I remember treasuring the graphics and gameplay, both of which included things I had never seen before in gaming. Not only that, but the game is consistently good and quite long. My time with it years later has left me feeling quite the same. It's a solid title.

Each week, we here at Wii Fanboy like to check out the latest Virtual Console releases in our VC Monday Madness feature, in the hopes that you can make the most sound decision possible regarding purchasing retro titles from the Wii Shop Channel. If you're looking for more retro goodness, check out Virtually Overlooked, which talks about games that should be on the Virtual Console.
