This holiday season will be the third for the Wii. GameStop (or, at least, one executive) has assured us that supplies will be much better this time. We've even seen Wii systems sitting in stores occasionally. Despite all this evidence, we've got a gut feeling that it's going to be as frustrating as ever to go buy a Wii.What's your guess? Will it be easy to find a Wii this winter, or will buyers be out of luck -- or worse(?), subjected to the dreaded bundle? Will the raincheck make a return appearance?

Easier, i'm betting, since the supply constraints of late have been more due to the weak dollar than to manufacturing problems. However, NA is the one region in which the new, cheaper 360 is more likely to be the most competitive, so Nintendo will probably divert

Got one.... Don't care :P
But from what I can tell, having a few Wiis already with the intentional to sell them would be very profitable. Damn my lack of funds :(

It sounds like it'll be easier to get, but my gut tells me that that ain't sayin' much.
I'm sure I'll still end up camping out for someone at least once this winter.

You may want to hang on to your Wii just so you have something to do while you send you 360 in for repairs.

do what? the wii can't keep me entertained for more then 5 minutes, thats what I have my pc for, TF2, CSS, COD4. I'm livin' in a wii free world. I love how hard you are trying to make an excuse for how good the wii is. it just shows how desperate the wii core gamers are for support, just deal, Nintendo left you guys a LONG time ago.

In all seriousness, what on earth do you have a 360 for if you have a PC that can run those games?
I'm not trying to be sarcastic or anything. I have a PC, 360, and access to a Wii. I almost never use the 360 because most things I want to play on it I can play on my PC. Because of this, I actually use the Wii much more than the 360 when I can (it's actually my parents, so only during the summer when I'm not living at school).
In fact, if my 360 red rings I've considered using my best buy warrenty to buy a Wii instead to use at school, since I never seem to use it (again, because my PC runs most games I'd want to play on it).
So, I ask, in all seriousness, is there something I'm missing with the 360? Because to me, it just seems like an easy PC (don't have to worry about viruses, upgrades, etc). That's not a bad thing, I'm just wondering what the point is when you have a gaming PC anyway.
The Wii is something different altogether, that's why I'd never substitute it with a PC/different console. I wouldn't get rid of it, but I guess YMMV.

I like to experiment with all sorts of games, and not all games come out to the PC, but almost all of the games I want to enjoy come out on the 360, simply because it has market supremacy in the next-gen department. I don't like the 360 that much, I actually prefer the PS3, but many games don't come out for the PS3 simply because of its price tag. Also services like gamefly aren't available to PC because of pirating. So yes, while it is nice to own a high end PC, and that is my main gaming platform, I wanted a good console as well. and in the present, the 360 meets that need.

Well, I hope you have better luck than I did. My 360 RROD'd on me after a mere 3 weeks. To say I'm pissed is an understatement.
It's not a huge deal to me because there are more Wii games for the rest of this year that I want than on 360:
On the W ii, I'm getting:
Samba, Wario Land, possibly Lego Batman, Mushroom Men, SPRay and Sonic Unleashed (DIMPS is making the Wii version, thus meaning it'll likely be better than the PS360 version).
I'm not trying to make you change your mind, of course. Just saying that different strokes for different folks. There are a lot of good games for the Wii this season, even though most of them are lower profile. If the Wii's games aren't to your tastes, then so be it...but that doesn't mean there aren't any good games on it.

It'll probably be easier, but there still won't be enough.
