Wario shakes up YouTube
Well done, Nintendo. If you hoped this fourth wall-shattering commercial for Wario Land: Shake It! would make the blog rounds, then you succeeded. We don't usually post about media of games that are already on store shelves, but this was just too good to pass on. We can't really say much more for fear of spoiling the surprise involved, so click here and get watching. But come back, please. Gets lonely here, y'know.

Great piece of viral work. I think it really shows the versatility of a platform like YouTube as a way to cleverly yet effectively communicate a message.
Well played, Nintendo. Well played.

Nintendo's always done great non-traditional advertising, imo
Makes up for the lack of traditional advertising they do, at least.

Great gimmick, that was a fun surprise. As for the game, it reminds me of old-school Sonic. And that is a very, very good thing.

The video stopped loading around the submarine part (though it seemed to kick in a bit right around/after I hit refresh, little wanker). the tag has "experiencewii's channel" on it, but the vid was posted by "MinusLand", and furthermore wasn't on a channel, so I was a bit confused. Sad that I can't favorite it, but whatever. Neat that YouTube's hosting this thing (which it's gotta be, Drzzt, since the URL and use of my login information, despite the comments section saying to login, woud have to have come from YouTube's database... or some jargon like that).

if for you, like me, the video on the page wouldn't load...
...kinda gives away the surprise, but most of the posts here give it away anyway.
