Reserved for the most elite players, this crescent moon instantly grants three extra lives to those who manage to find it in Super Mario World. It is, like so many other characters in the franchise, smiling. In all likelihood it is happy to see you in such lonely, top-secret areas where it can be found. As if this item isn't rare enough, once collected it won't appear again. Return to the level all you want, the moon is gone. But don't worry, you might see it once or twice more in your lifetime.
