Twilight Princess trading cards?

Apparently, yes, as the soon-to-be released set of trading cards will feature none other than Link and gang when it hits retail shelves sometime in the future. The set, which features a total of 86 different cards, does not have a release date at this time, but will only set you back $1.99 per pack. Each pack contains 3 standard cards, 1 special foil card, 1 tattoo card, and 1 sweepstakes card (win a Wii kind of thing).

We'd probably have enjoyed it more if Twilight Princess could be turned into a trading card game, but anything else we can get our hands on to remind us how amazing that game is, well ... we won't complain.

Spoilerific Twilight Princess video

Oh, agony. Those not fortunate enough to play Zelda: Twilight Princess must settle for spoiler videos. While most are patient enough to wait to see plot points of the game when they play it, the rest of us can't help ourselves. We almost mess our pants at the mere mention of the game so you can imagine what happens when we find videos such as this.

Enjoy the over-taking of Hyrule after the break! Whoops ....

Downloadable Zelda content makes fans riot [update 1]

Microtransactions have been prostituted almost to the point of ridiculousness on Xbox Live Marketplace with content that makes piggy banks cry. Hopefully, Nintendo won't go that direction. Though the thought of new downloadable content for Twilight Princess (such as more levels) seems like the most fantastic idea on the face of the planet, how far could it go?

Nintendo's VP George Harrison vaguely answered a few questions for GamePro concerning downloading and the newest Zelda. He basically stated that right now they are concentrating on the release of the game too much to really get something in the works but they have brought it up and will be looking into it in the future.

Alright, Nintendo, we are crossing our fingers in hope. Please don't let us faithful-to-the-end gamers down. Please?

Miyamoto talks Zelda -- Link a lefty no more

If you didn't already know that Link, the hero in the Legend of Zelda series, was left-handed, we simply do not know what to do with you. In fact, we might ask that you get a CAT scan to help understand why you are a Nintendo fanboy who lacked this simple knowledge. In time, we could forgive you.

Fact of the matter is, Twilight Princess has changed it up a bit under Miyamoto's command and Link is now right-handed. But, GameCube owners do not fear. Link will continue to be left-handed as tradition tells for you. Here is what Miyamoto himself said in his defense of making Link a righty:

"Although Link is [traditionally] left-handed, at E3 we noticed people seemed to be using the right Wii controller to swing his sword. That's why we decided to make Link right-handed. The interesting this is, on the GameCube Link is still left-handed; because of the mirror mode the game map is reversed."

All banter concerning the mirror mode must cease immediately. Sorry Leftorium lovers, you'll have to sit this one out.

Twilight Princess -- new controls in action

With all the commotion regarding the Wii itself, we almost forgot about the games!

This video does an excellent job of showing the new way the Wiimote will work with Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Say goodbye to boring button combinations and say hello to slashing the baddies yourself. Gameplay is smokin' and we can't wait to get our Zelda-hungry paws on it. As always, click the continue link to check out this Link-tastic video.
