Nintendo enlists celebrity aid in marketing Mario Kart Wii to Japan
Aside from advertising in the United States, another region important to sales of Mario Kart Wii is Japan, Nintendo's native country. As such, the gaming giant has enlisted the aid of Japanese celebrities to help hock their wares onto the gaming populace. Above, you can see model Aki Hoshino and comedian Medaka Ikeno having the time of their life with their Wii Wheels.

Pachter says 3-4 million for Wii Fit in 2008
Apparently, there's a lot of folks out there looking to tone up their life with Wii Fit. That's what Michael Pachter thinks, as he predicts a whopping 3-4 million copies of Wii Fit being sold in this year alone. That's a $90 package that he expects between 3 and 4 million folks to buy. Wow.
"Wii Fit will sell 3 million to 4 million in the US if they market aggressively," Pachter said. Well, if Pachter read Wii Fanboy, he'd know that they are putting a lot into their marketing of the game. And, if Pachter's lack of reading game blogs are any indication, the man is woefully under-prepared to make any kind of prediction.

Japan to run plenty of ads for Smash Bros. Brawl
With Super Smash Bros. Brawl releasing upon the Japanese public at the end of the month, it's no surprise that Nintendo has prepared a plethora of TV spots to be run. Ghost Squad advert has PS3 shooter in its sights
Ghost Squad, as we've already seen, is not afraid of being different. It's also not afraid of standing up for itself and picking on bigger games, when the need arises; games such as the PlayStation 3's Resistance: Fall of Man. The print advert above, for example, has been seen in various German magazines in recent weeks. And if we were being completely honest, we'd totally buy Resistance: Fall of Mandy.

We love golf (and TV ads)
Hey old timer, put down that corded controller and get with the times! Pick up a Wiimote and hit the virtual links like a pro. Join all of the cool kids and get in on the sensation that is sweeping the nation!
That's pretty much the gist of the ad. There's some gameplay tossed in, but with it being the usual Japanese ad, its length is fairly short.
No More Heroes TV ads less racy than print ads
The TV ad for No More Heroes has 100% less nude women, as it foregoes the print ad campaign and strives to sell the game to the viewer by playing up the whole beam katana aspect of the game. Oh, how we loves us some beam katana. But, as with all Japanese ads, it's pretty short, so keep that in mind.
As previously stated, the game released today in Japan.

Vii would like to advertise
How hilarious is this Vii thing? We can't believe the unit is even being bought by some people, let alone making enough money to warrant advertising. But, sure enough, here we sit talking about a commercial for the thing. We're kind of tempted to track one down ourselves to see how bad the included games are, but we're worried about providing our credit card number to the company manufacturing these things. Thankfully, other people on the internet aren't as scared as we are.
