Many of you had some strong opinion's regarding TheVintageDoctor's Mario corset, so we only found it fitting to tell you about her new Zelda-related fashion item.
This corset is very similar to the last one, only featuring Link instead of the portly plumber. Unfortunately, the image used on the corset almost looks like it could be a Link "upskirt" pic, but we're still impressed by this outfit nonetheless.
Also, as of writing this, it's still in stock. So, you can wear (or have your girlfriend wear) Link's backside for $99.98 -- expensive, but a fair price for all the work that probably went into this.
Technabob described this corset best by calling it "fierce" -- we also appreciate the Project Runway reference -- and you know what? We actually like it. It's original, well-made, geeky, retro, and sexy. What's not to like? Then again, we're no Tim Gunns, and we could imagine the poor man being horrified by such a creation.
Unfortunately, the item is already sold out on Etsy, so if you were planning on buying it for yourself or a gal friend, it's too late. We've seen unique Mario fashions from TheVintageDoctor before, though, so hopefully there will be some more good stuff to come.
We can't help but love Little Mac, the quintessential underdog. If seeing him on your virtual console isn't enough, though, how about seeing him around your neck in the winter? You may have also noticed that this scarf has Mike Tyson's big mug on it, so you won't have to settle for Mr. Dream.
Realistically, we know you won't buy this -- after all, the scarf is a whopping $175 on Etsy. Still, we admire the craftsmanship that went into Beatboxtaun's crocheting, and we hope you do, too. We only wish we had such skills ourselves, so that we didn't have to drool over these kinds of things on Etsy all the time.
In our opinion, this definitely beats out the Punch-Out mat for the best craft featuring Little Mac (that we know of).
As we have seen on previousoccasions, patchwork quilts are perfect for recreating scenes from NES-era games. However, the Mario depicted on this quilt is a little more modern, and the results are no less spectacular.
Crafted by the wife of BoingBoing reader Brian (a.k.a bishmasterb), this work of art uses sixteen types of fabric, and is 36 columns by 44 rows tall (six feet by eight feet). Oh, and it's hung on that wall for the last five years, hidden from an appreciative world! For the record, we fully support the decision to show it off on its own wall. You can't actually use things that are this beautiful. That would be madness.
Look, it's all well and good stomping off to rescue princesses and reassemble golden triangular relics, but at least remember that it's a cold, unforgiving world out there, and you'll need something warm to wrap around yourself at some point. As the only other Zelda quilt we've posted about was never put up for sale, this one should do the trick, even if it is ... $475?! We advise chopping grass to raise the required funds.

Check out this awesome rabbid plush, made by reader Michael Karpinski. As big fans of the rabbids (even if we don't always love the games), we were excited to see such an awesomely made plushie doll in their likeness.
What we love even more is this picture of a cat hugging the rabbid, not only because we love cute or funny cat pictures (which we do), but because it makes the expression on the plush's face all the more fitting.

STOP! Put down that Crayola Model Magic. Read this guide from DIYLife's Victor Agreda before you attempt to fashion teensy Wiimotes out of the foamy modeling compound. Or you can just look at the pictures of his charmingly homemade, fun-size Wii controllers, embellished with markers. Victor used these to add cute touches to his Christmas gifts, but you are, of course, free to do what you like, from displaying them, to, uh ... a second use.

20-year-old craftster Tiffany indulged her boyfriend's love of sand and Mario by joining the two with a themed zen garden. Since this will be a birthday present, she took extra care to decorate the lid with wood cut-outs that she painted and glued atop one another for a "3D look." If her beau doesn't run wildly around the room for 15 seconds after unwrapping this, knocking over everything in his path while sounding out "Starman" music, we'll be disappointed.
Opening the box reveals Mario and friends, as well as a playground of sand to rake patterns into. Tiffany plans to eventually add blocks painted with question marks and possibly other elements. Yes, the picture quality is very rough! The guy's camera must have been made out of paper itself-- or maybe it was a camera-shaped cake that could only take real pictures by a freak accident. Alternately, it could have been a cell phone.
But even in low detail, you get the idea. A crafter named Patrick made a tiny papercraft Wii and Wiimote that any strong waggle could blow away. It would make a nice companion piece to that teensy TV from earlier this year. Now if only we could get the template, so we could amass an army of non-functioning Mini-Wiis.
These chairs are made out of recycled Playstation 2 plastic. If it were any other console, we could make jokes about the Wii creating an instant surplus. Unfortunately for our ROFLs, the PS2 is still doing great, especially for a seven-year-old console!
So we'll joke about the PS2's reliability instead-- these chairs were probably made from defective PS2's, which are one of the most abundant resources available. Ha!

When the Wii-playing Lego robots win control of all of Earth's resources in a series of high-stakes Wii Sports Bowling tournaments, we will all be locked in their vast factories and forced to build giant versions of these thrones from which they'll beep their terrible edicts. There's no stopping them, so we might as well get some practice building those thrones.

Well, okay. We never made a huge Donkey Kong mural in the windows of one of the college's buildings using nothing but Post-Its. Luckily, a group of UC Santa Cruz students stepped in and took the job upon themselves. The bar has officially been raised for college timewasting. This thing is really beautiful.
This quilt from Craftster member dishwasher182 combines two of our favorite things in life: The originalLegend of Zelda and being warm while sleeping. We aren't sure how we'd rank those two things.
Maybe we should start quilting, so we can have our own enormous pixel-perfect Link holding a very ziggurat-esque Triforce. But we aren't sure we're up to the challenge of cutting and sewing together over 400 squares. In fact, we know we aren't. We're exhausted from reaching up to the number keys just now.
