Wii Fanboy Weekly: June 5 - June 11

Have you checked out our new feature yet, Born for Wii? It's just one way we constantly strive to offer you the most enjoyable gaming blog around. And, plus, if Nintendo isn't going to show us any new games, might as well dream about what we could be playing during all this downtime (well, at least we get one chance each week to play).

Born for Wii: Panzer Dragoon Orta

You plummet down a dark, twisting tunnel, barely registering the lights that flash past because you're too busy juking one moment and jinking the next, avoiding death with a flick of your wrist. As enemies crowd around you, spewing missiles from every direction, you expertly guide a stream of deadly fire, targeting your opponents with a steady hand and an uncanny precision that, within seconds, leaves you and your dragon alone, hurtling down an empty passageway toward destinations unknown.

Or at least, that's how it could be. Welcome to the inaugural edition of Born for Wii, a new weekly column looking back into the annals of gaming for titles that could be adapted for the Wii in new and exciting ways. This week, we'll take a look at Sega's highly appreciated but criminally undersold Panzer Dragoon series.

Wii Warm Up: SAAAAAAAAAAY-GA!

Any gamer would need a heart of blackened teak to not have a soft spot for Sega, and there's arguably no better home for a dyed-in-the-wool Sega fan than the Wii. Over the coming weeks and months, Nintendo's little white box will be hosting a number of updated classic Sega properties, including NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, Samba De Amigo, and House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return.

But our appetite for all things Sega is not yet sated! While we've already asked you which Saturn games you'd like to see on the Virtual Console, which Sega titles in general do you want to see reinvented on the Wii? A motion-sensitive Panzer Dragoon, the return of Ulala, and a Burning Rangers sequel top our list.
