Four new WiiWare titles came down the tubes in Europe and Australia today, and the selection couldn't be more diverse. Art Style: Cubello and Strong Bad Episode 3: Baddest of the Bands you'll already know about, but CueSports and Yummy Yummy Cooking Jam are more mysterious beasts. The former looks promising, the latter, er, not particularlygreat, according to the few reviews that are about.
Following the first, second, and third installments in SBCG4AP, I found myself wondering if the fourth episode could keep the pace of the first three. And it's pretty evident in the first few moments of the game that this is another episode that is setting the bar for humor a bit higher. Frankly, they gave me the whole tub of popcorn, but I only needed the edge.
Good news, fans of SBCG4AP. Episode 4, Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective, will hit WiiWare this coming Monday, November 17th. If you've not checked out the previous 3 episodes, then you really need to get on that. We've had nothingbutfun with those episodes and, like many of you, are looking forward to this Monday.
Head into the gallery for some images from the upcoming episode, then cruise past the break for a trailer from Dangeresque 3. It's worth it, we assure you. Then (we're so demanding today!), keep an eye on this web site for more Dangeresque 3 goodies.
Look at all that majesty. Telltale sent a screen to Wired of the fifth episode of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, featuring what may be the beefy-armiest sight yet for the downloadable episodic adventure game series: TROGDOR!
Defying all known limits of the awesomeness that can be safely produced by a video game system, this image seems to show Trogdor the Burninator, who was a man -- I mean, he was a dragon-man ... or maybe he was just a dragon ... taking a starring role in Strong Bad Episode 5. What a way to end the series.
Are you a fan of episodic gaming? Have you taken the plunge, either through WiiWare, Steam, or the services of those otherguys? Do you favor a smaller, more regimented gaming experience for less coin than the ticket price for a AAA title on the retail shelf? Thoughts?
We've been waiting for the third installment of SBCG4AP for a little while now, jonesing for a new episode after thoroughlyenjoying the first two. For myself, this third episode is my favorite, as the combination of a "band off," and what I found to be the best writing in the series so far, have come together and dropped hot, delicious gaming action all over my face. Grab your leopard print pants and Squealin' Larry Limozeen Microphone and head past the break for the full review. Well all right!
You've been waiting patiently and finally Guitar Hero: World Tour releases to retail this week. It's a good week if you're looking for some new retail disc games to play. Also, if you're looking for some fun to be had from downloading WiiWare and Virtual Console titles. As well as the game shown above, past the break you'll find a long list of new experiences to enjoy on your Wii.
Tell us, what are you planning on picking up this week?
Telltale Games has just informed us that the latest episode in the ongoing saga of Strong Bad'sCool Game For Attractive People has been dated for release on WiiWare this coming Monday, October 27th. If previousepisodes are any indication, this latest installment in the series is going to be quite fun. Look for it on Monday, where it'll be available for download at the usual price of 1,000 Points.
Here are two friggity fresh videos from the third episode of SBCG4AP. So far, the series hasn't disappointed and we're hoping for the same from the third chapter, which, if everything goes to plan, should be dropping on WiiWare very soon. Hit up the video above, then head past the break for more.
Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People is in its third episode, getting cooler as they go; therefore we expect the people which it is for to be more attractive. The latest episode, Baddest of the Bands, features Strong Bad trying to earn some money by putting together a band and entering them in a competition. However, with a band composed of Homsar and the KOT, he's not likely to become a hundredaire any time soon.
After the break, in case you missed it (we did!) the introductory trailer for this episode. We're going to be sad when we don't have a new episode of Strong Bad to look forward to.
We barely need to write anything here this week, do we?
Mega Man 9 -- WiiWare -- 1000 Wii Points
Helix -- WiiWare -- 1000 Wii Points
Strong Bad Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free -- WiiWare -- 1000 Wii Points
Helix is a dance-cum-exercise game from Ghostfire which was deemed above-average by critics, if not exactly essential. Strong Bad Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free falls into the same trap as Super Dodge Ball did in North America, in that it's a great, worthwhile title that was regrettably released the same week as Mega Man 9. And Mega Man 9, well, you know all about that. It's totally awesome and rad. Buy it.
The Telltale folks have dished out another episode of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People(otherwise known as SBCG4AP). Much like the first episode, Strong Badia the Free has its ups and downs, but, for the most part, is everything you'd expect from the genre. If you had trouble swallowing the first episode, then know that much hasn't changed with the second download.

As suspected, today sees the release of SBCG4AP's second episode, Strong Badia the Free. What's surprising, however, is the two other games available for download through your Wii. One of them is a WiiWare game we know little about, and the other is an old NES game about a robotic boy that likes the color blue. OMG what is it?!
Head past the break and find out!

[Update: we've just learned that the game is scheduled for this Monday!]
Strong Badia The Free, the second episode of Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People, is expected this month, and Telltale is preparing us to come to the coolest place I know. Where, it would seem, a revolution against the tyrannical, swimming-pool-full-of-gelatin-eating King of Town is brewing.
In the screens, we can see that most of Free Country USA is united against the KOT, even The Cheat and Marzipan. They appear to be ready to burn the butter-loving monarch in effigy. But it isn't all bad -- The Cheat appears poised to throw the real rave he's always deserved, instead of just a lightswitch rave.
Population: Ti-i-i-iiiiiiire!

No, they aren't predicting the apocalypse or anything, but their future on the Wii seems almost certain. When asked if SBCG4AP sold more on the PC or Wii, they were quick to note that performance on Nintendo's system beat the PC. How was it to work with Nintendo?
"Working with Nintendo's been pretty good," commented designer Mark Darin. "All the help that Nintendo's been giving us and allowing us the opportunity to be on WiiWare has been great for our company and great for getting titles like SBCG4AP out there to a new audience who maybe isn't used to Adventure games. It's been a great partnership with Nintendo so far." Telltale also goes on to talk about the system's hardware and what challenges that presented, as well as Sam & Max on the console. So be sure to read the full interview over at Joystiq.
