E308: MySims Kingdom cheerfully strolls into view
There are a lot of things we don't know about MySims Kingdom: its firm release date ("fall" is a big window), its purpose, or why all these little Sim guys are just so freakin' happy all the time. What we do know is that it's just as cute as its predecessor, the kingdom-less MySims, and the debut trailer above proves it. Their Simlish is pretty irresistable, too.
E308: Goosebumps: HorrorLand steals E3
Never mind Wii Music or Wii Sports Resort -- as we hinted earlier, Goosebumps: HorrorLand is the real star of this year's E3 Media and Business Summit.
Nintendo might not have mentioned this innovative title during the company's press conference today, but we have a feeling that this was the twinkle in president Satoru Iwata's eye when he mentioned a big paradigm shift in the global game market. Yes, a paradigm shift towards more Goosebumps games.
Just when you thought you had put R.L. Stine's
The graphics aren't impressing anyone -- it almost looks like the duct-tape holding the system's two GameCubes together came loose -- but there are shooter segments, carnival-themed minigames, and, uh, portions where you run on a log with a swamp monster. Mark our words, when you slide this game's disc into your Wii, you will say, "Wow!"

Majesco parades a Major Minor trailer
We won't even front -- this rhythm game's cartoonish design isn't for everyone, and there are a lot of you who won't appreciate the "Dreamcast-era" graphics, either -- but we still think Major Minor's Majestic March looks like the cat's pajamas. If you need any proof, there are actually saxophone-playing cats in striped sleepwear in the clip above.
We can't tell you how many nights we've spent marching in place to the tune of some distant melody in our living room, waving an imagined, magical baton and granting tubas to dancing pigs. It has been a fantasy we've indulged in for years.
Samba de Amigo trailer is very nice, so full of spice
This Samba de Amigo trailer might not show any gameplay, but it still ignites the burning desire we have in our bellies for this Dreamcast redux. Fun music, crazy characters, bright colors -- that's what Samba de Amigo is all about. Now, as long as the Wii version can nail the gameplay, we'll have something very near and dear to our hearts. We doubt there's a happier game worth stomaching.
Note: Sorry friends in the U.K. and Canada, but MTV's video player hates you.
Protothea might not be terrible
Earlier this week, we shared with you videos from Ubisoft newly announced WiiWare title, Protöthea, and the game looked, at best, boring, at worst, awful. Seeing this trailer for the original 2005 PC game which the WiiWare release will be a remake of, however, has given us a new hope. This looks about a hojillion times more exciting than the clips IGN trotted out for us to preview!
Further improving our opinion of Protöthea, the original PC game was Cartoon Network's Project Goldmaster winner at the 2005 Independent Games Festival, rewarding developer Digital Builders an opportunity to create a game based on a Cartoon Network license. Knowing all this, maybe the screenshots in the gallery we've included below will seem more interesting to you.
Protöthea was supposed to launch with WiiWare, according to IGN, but we didn't see the title on the list posted earlier today, so who knows when the shmup will be thrown onto Nintendo's download service. While we wait around for someone to announce a release date, spend a moment to leave us a comment on whether or not this trailer has changed your opinion on the game.

GDC08: Extended Mario Kart trailer, remixed music
Remember that Mario Kart Wii trailer we posted just two days ago? Well, shift-delete that footage from your memory and replace it with this extended promotional video which debuted at the Game Developers Conference. Not only is this clip twice as long as the previous one we featured, but it has a remixed version of the old Mario Circuit music as its audio track instead of some guy who sounds like Jerry Seinfeld yelling in the background.
We can totally get behind this song! It sounds like something out of Bust a Groove!
Deadly Creatures lives up to its name
Last week, we told you about THQ's plan to release a Wii game called Deadly Creatures. While interested in the idea, we took up a "wait-and-see" policy regarding the title. The game's official site recently launched, however, giving us a glimpse into the unique desert creature adventure.
From what little we've seen, Deadly Creatures looks like it can be fun as long as the controls are pulled off correctly. Also, we're a little worried that the fighting might get repetitive. THQ has probably thought of that, though, making us think there will be more to the game than just beating up snakes and lizards.
While we enjoyed the trailer, we have to admit -- hearing the poor little screeches of those bugs and reptiles tugged at our heartstrings a bit. Really, we're just big softies.

Extended North American Brawl trailer debuts
Are you tired of watching all those Super Smash Bros. Brawl videos floating around from the Japanese release yet? Well, even if you are, this latest trailer is for the US version -- complete with English text and voice acting (not that there's much voice acting, of course). It also comes complete with King Dedede and the Ice Climber kids hammer-dancing.
The streaming movie isn't displayed in as high a quality as we'd like, but there are three whole minutes of clips grabbed from almost every mode in the game for you to enjoy. As far as we can see, there aren't any huge spoilers for you to worry about, so don't let that stop you from watching the video!

Delve a little deeper into the Opoona-verse
We've told you pretty much all you need to know about Koei's upcoming RPG, Opoona, which will hit North American Wiis this March. Yet, if you like a good dose of visuals with your information, you might want to check out these videos.
The trailer embedded up top is an introduction to the storyline, and not unlike what we've seen before. You'll find out more about the conflict going on in a text-heavy (but interesting) opening. To see some gameplay footage (and to find out why the characters have "bonbons" on top of their heads), though, make sure to venture past the break.

Koei to roll Opoona out late March
If your days are spent yearning for a game in which you play a bald kid with an orange orb hovering over his head, circle March 25th on your calendar, the date Opoona, that other Wii-exclusive epic RPG, makes its stateside debut. Then you can put a happy face in that circle, draw a smaller circle above the face, and, will you look at that, you've got a picture of the game's titular hero! After a spaceship-wreck interrupts his family vacation, Opoona finds himself stuck on Planet Landroll, forced to begin a new life in the strange world while searching for his siblings and parents. Opoona's hardships range from trying to find a job to fighting against the Dark Rogues terrorizing Landroll's people. We assume he also has to deal with the self-esteem issues that often come with balding at such a young age.
As with the entire game, combat during the turn-based battles is handled with just the Wii's nunchuck -- you can fire projectiles and direct the trajectory of your attacks with different nunchuck movements. Without having tried the single-hand controls out ourselves, we're still not sure about them yet, but it won't be long before we'll get that chance! Hit the gallery below for Opoona's packshot, artwork, and a huge pile of screensshots from the US release.

Thirty more seconds of No More Heroes

We posted it after the break, since like many other No More Heroes videos, this one is NSFW.
Dojo update: The Subspace Awesome-ary
It's hard for us to clear our minds after watching this trailer, and have any thoughts beyond our initial reactions of drooling all over ourselves. But, we will try, if only for you, dear reader.
You may remember the Subspace Emissary update in August, introducing a side-scrolling action game to flesh out Brawl's single player experience. Today's update is nothing but a preview for it, but oh, what a preview it is. If you weren't excited for the game's adventure mode before, you will be now.
We don't need to hype it up for you, though; the video speaks for itself. So watch, enjoy, and try to keep your "do wants!" to two-inch voices.

Friday Video: Wii Fit in demos
GameTrailers has a ridiculous number of Wii Fit trailers and demos up right now. While they're all in Japanese, the videos still offer a great (if sedate) look at the fitness trainer and its different uses. We've put one up here in our weekly video spotlight, but if you have the urge to watch more, you'll have to head over there. We're not kidding when we say there's a lot.
