Brawl Stage of the Week: The Web

Welcome to Nintendo Wii Fanboy's Brawl Stage of the Week feature, in which we showcase some of our favorite Smash Bros. Brawl stages. We'll have some themed weeks, some contest weeks, and some "whatever we damn well please" weeks to help you keep your Brawl experience fresh.

This week we're featuring a completely original stage, made by SoshiKitai. Called "The Web," Soshi considers this one his masterpiece -- and we can see why. The picture doesn't really translate how fun and crazy this stage actually is. In fact, "The Web" is so massive that not even the warp star trick can fully capture it. Luckily, you can experience it for yourself by downloading it here, but check on after the break for some more details on the stage and instructions on how to play it.

Nintendo.com gets updated in a big way

Forget your grandma's boring old Nintendo.com. The new Nintendo.com is extreme in a kind of way that can only be measured in Quantum Dew Units. That's right, the new Nintendo.com's most extreme nature can only be compared to cans of Mountain Dew, with a single can representing one QDU. Right now, Nintendo.com is at about 74,821.288888 QDU. In case you were wondering, that's enough Mountain Dew to choke a unicorn to death.

But, in all seriousness, Nintendo.com just looks very ... white now. There's so much white space, we're compelled to bust out a marker and draw little pictures in the margins like we did back in school. But, then again, maybe that's why we didn't graduate. Or may be are brain am broke.

Head on over to the new site and poke around. For those of you looking for the return of the Nsider forums, you're out of luck.

Opera guys talk Wii

It puts the 0 in pr0n.Based out of Oslo, Norway, the fine folks at Opera have been hard at work on the Wii's browser. While the company has been tight-lipped about the final features of the Wii's Opera browser, they did manage to let a few things slip. Given that some have considered the DS version of Opera to be a bit lacking, it looks like the browser for the Wii will have all the same features as Opera 9 for PCs and Macs, and stored on the console's Flash ROM. The gang also goes on to say that bookmarks will be supported, as well.
